Types of Car Seats

Car seats are categorized into three major types: infant car seats, convertible car seats, and booster seats.

#1 Infant Car Seats: These rear-facing seats are specifically designed for newborns and babies up to 2 years old. They offer excellent support for the infant's head, neck, and spine.

#2 Convertible Car Seats: As the name suggests, these seats can 'convert' between rear-facing and forward-facing modes. They can be used from infancy through toddlerhood, depending on the weight and height limits set by the manufacturer.

#3 Booster Seats: These are for older kids who have outgrown the weight and height limits of their convertible seats. They boost the child's sitting height, ensuring the seat belt fits correctly over their shoulder and lap.
