Tekstilindustrien er verdens eldste industri. Oleana er en av de yngste tekstilfabrikkene i Norge og den eneste av sitt slag som både strikker og syr alt vi lager på egen fabrikk her i landet. Vi holder til på Espeland nær Bergen, midt i det gamle tekstilmiljøet i Hordaland. Vi setter vår stolthet i å bruke økologisk forsvarlige naturfibre som ull, silke, alpakka og kasjmir. Oleana legger også stor vekt på design og god kvalitet. Vi er overbevist om at vi i vår del av verden må kjøpe færre, men vakrere klær. Oleanas designer, Solveig Hisdal, står for alle mønstrene våre. Du kan kjenne igjen signaturen hennes i blomsterornamentene og de spesielt vakre fargekombinasjonene.

The textile industry is the oldest industry in the world. Oleana is one of the youngest factories in Norway and the only one of its kind that both knits and sews everything that is produced, in our own factory. We are located in Espeland, just outside Bergen, on the west coast of Norway. Oleana takes pride in using only ecological natural fibres. We use wool, silk, alpaca and cashmere.We put a lot of emphasis on design, and good quality. We believe that we have to buy fewer, but more beautiful clothes in our part of the world. Oleana’s designer, Solveig Hisdal, stands behind all our designs. You can recognise her signature in the flower ornaments and the especially beautiful colour combinations.
