As the product of a '90s upbringing - during the era of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" - I was especially tickled to interview the lovely Jane Seymour recently. The exhibition, "Jane Seymour: Up Close and Personal," will be at Ocean Galleries (9618 Third Ave., Stone Harbor, N.J.) from May 15 to 25.

Aside from the Jersey Shore, Seymour told me she comes to our fair city a lot and called it "an amazing place," where she has hosted a number of art shows in conjunction with the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. A squiggle inside a mural on South Street depicts her "Open Hearts" symbol, the trademark of her Open Hearts jewelry line. She said she had "minutes in which to do it." "I come to Philadelphia a lot. I have a number of art shows there, friends there - I love Philadelphia," she told me. This year's Open Hearts Foundation Gala will be held on Saturday at Seymour's home in Malibu, Calif. It celebrates three individuals who have overcome adversity in one form or another. Paul Stanley, frontman of the rock band Kiss, is one of them. He'll be acknowledged for his work with the California-based organization Mending Kids, which provides life-changing - and free surgical care to children worldwide. Stanley was born with microtia, a congenital ear deformity that left him unable to hear out of his right ear. DJ's gone to the dogs

Morning man John DeBella, of 102.9 WMGK, trotted around Bala Cynwyd with Clyde, a giant bloodhound named the Mayor of Dogville at the 13th annual DeBella Dog Walk yesterday afternoon at Green Lane Park (2144 Snyder Road, Green Lane). This year's canine carnival broke last year's attendance record, with more than 8,000 four-legged friends and their owners. The dog walk offered pets and pet owners the ultimate doggie date as they took part in interactive games, like vying for a prize for the longest kiss between owner and dog and taking their pooch's photo inside the "Dogs Playing Poker" painting.
