Letter from President Hello Key Clubbers! I am honored to be serving as your 2015-2016 Key Club president. I honestly never expected to be in this position. I couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming year! Thank you so much for electing me. I hope you’re all eager for summer, and the events to come! Key Club International is a huge organization, and through it I have met so many amazing people, whom I have been able develop a genuine camaraderie with. Service rewards you with such an amazing feeling.. It’s a great thing to be able to give back to the community, not because you have to for a graduation requirement, but because you want to and you enjoy doing so. I hope you’ll be able to discover and experience the same feelings I have towards KCI in the next year. This year, my goal for our club is to communicate better with each other so we are all in the know and can bond together. I have noticed that many of us come to meetings and tend to stick with our own groups of friends. Throughout the year I plan for us to have several occasions where we can mingle and get to know everyone. Key Club is like another family, after all!

In love and service, Emily Siangkam

Recap of this year

Recent DCM Recaps "This was the first DCM I had ever been to, and right away I was able to befriend people through service. It's amazing how Key Clubbers can bond so well by reaching out to the community by planting trees for a park, or just getting to know each other through ice breakers.“ - Emily Siangkam “The May Joint DCM was filled with fun and laughter. This was my second DCM and I was just starting to get to know more key clubbers not just from our division, but others as well. It was a really fun experience and I loved witnessing our LTG get pied to the face by Bryan. Spent it with a great group of people and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Some good food, good company, and a good time.” – Sophie Tanchoco “I had just been starting to get into key club and I didn't know much people. with being the only person not really in key club I tended to stick with people from my school until Kim had us do the "walk to remember". I enjoyed meeting a new friend named Vincent and when the time came to introduce him to other friends I had made I found out he lied about his grade! but the experience was very spontaneous and I didn't even plan on doing anything that day but ended making tons of new friends!” – Hynns Agas

“The June DCM I became a part of Hazen. Bryan was called really dark. Emily talked to a yearbook picture of her outtie. Kimmy cried. I gave our treasurer Kim a lovely speech. There was a lot of food.” – Isabelle Saechao

Thank You Seniors

Dear Carina Tran, and Emily Yoshioka... I'd like to just think of this as a "see you later" not a Goodbye... Moving on from Renton High onto bigger and better things. While you go on this crazy adventure of college and finding yourself, I hope you take the love and happiness that you brought to me the first time we met and share it with everyone you encounter. I will never be able to repay you both for the amount of hospitality and love you guys shared towards me. Not only did you guys become my captains, or my sister, but you then became my moms it was like we had formed a family amongst each other. Have you ever felt like you've known someone for your entire life, but in reality you haven't...? Well that's how Emily and Carina make you feel. Because of you two I was able to branch out and have a much more amazing Freshman year experience than I would have other imagined. You really proved to me that age is nothing but a number. Many people questioned our relationship with each other because I was a freshman and you guys were seniors (which normally doesn't happened) but I felt more comfortable with you guys than I have felt with some people my own age. You guys leaving me at Renton High has for sure left a enormous dent in my heart, thank you for being the best moms in the entire world. No matter what where we end up or how old we are I'll always be ready to run and open my arms For the biggest hug from you two. Go make me proud. VISIT A TON!!! I love you guys so much, enjoy college but don't ever forget about us back here! -Kelis "obese" Barton To: Carina Tran & Emily Yoshioka I can't believe this is it, you're both leaving Renton High School and moving on to a better place. You both surprisingly became so much more than a friend to me, you guys were like mothers that always watched out for me. Whenever I needed you two, you were always there to help. Because of you two, my freshman year was full of tears, both of sadness and happiness. You guys carried me to have such an amazing journey in Freshman year. No matter what happens, the amazing memories we've created will never be replaced. Things will change without you guys, so please come back and visit us ! DO WELL IN COLLEGE AND DON'T MISS US TOO MUCH! I LOVE YOU BOTH!

2015-2016 Term GOALS: “I want to be able to raise more money for the Eliminate Project! Since this is the last year we'll be fundraising for it, I want to help the PNW district reach their goal of $75,000. I also want to aim for 50+ hours!” “Attend more volunteer opportunities, recruit potential key clubbers, stay toastier than ever.” “My goals will be membership growth, establish a new club, happy key club division family.” “My Key Club goals for next year include being an officer, completing at least 100 hours, and attending as many DCMs as I can.” “Build my club as president, bring more attendees to DCON, make Key Club more well known in my school”
