All the food that you will experience with us here at VERO is based on traditional cicchetti, which are Venetian savoury snacks or small plates.
Cicchetti or ‘bar food’ are served in bacari, which are quaint and bijou bars found on street corners in the romantic, picturesque and unique city. The concept is thought to have originated as an early form of quick and easy food to be enjoyed with small glasses of wine for the merchants of Venice. The name cicchetti comes from the Latin ciccus, meaning ‘a small amount.’
