Kingdom Cares

This is truly the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it. I am thankful as I know you are to see another day, and more so, to see another year. Wow 2022, we made it! I know that this past year, really the last two years, have been interesting to say the least, but God has seen us through. I pray that you can also testify with us as a church that while last year was still different, God was still blessing. It was last year that our church was able to start up our Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation, which has made an impact to thousands of families in our area and across the globe. It was also last year that we officially fully leased out our Kingdom Office Center, and now that property is bringing resources into the church to help us serve and make a larger community impact. It was also last year that by God’s grace we were able to not just meet our $5 million dollar goal for our Kingdom Builders Campaign, but we also exceeded that goal as we continue to move forward in the building project of our Kingdom Worship Center.

My prayer is that as we celebrate what God has done for our church, you can also look back and see all of the great things that God has done in your life and in the lives of those in your family. Yes, for many of us it was a hard year, and we prayed our way through it; yet we also don’t want to miss what God is doing in the midst of the hard moments as well.

Even with some uncertainty, we move into this new year watching and praying to see what is next as we push forward. That is the premise of my new sermon series, “Running on Empty,” for the month of January. Many of us, myself included, can agree with this thought that we are truthfully running on empty. We can’t stop though, because if we know anything about God, we know that God is a provider. I encourage you to engage this sermon series with new ears listening for ways to put into action what I believe God is saying to all of us in this season. Also this month we will begin our churchwide Daniel Fast as a way for us to silence the things of this world and listen more clearly to what God is saying to us. You can follow the Daniel Fast guidelines as well as the Reset Devotional with the information given in this Gather Guide. Our New Beginnings Revival also begins this month, and I am excited to have some of my friends in the faith to join us every Tuesday night at 7:00 pm. You will find more details in the pages of this Gather Guide. Pastor Smokie Norful, Pastor Marcus Cosby, Pastor Joseph Walker and Pastor Sheleta Fomby will be joining us, and I am sure each service will be a great time in the Lord.

Lastly, as a church staff, we have been in consistent communication and of course prayer about Covid-19 and its impact on our community. We have one of the highest standards for churches and most businesses when it comes to our Covid-19 protocols. However, I ask that you continue to stay prayerful with us as we move forward in ministry. Beginning next Sunday, January 9th, we will have only one service in-person. It will be at 9:00 am. This will allow us to reduce the number of services we have on Sunday and provide for more flexibility as we get ready for our revival this month.

Thank you for your commitment to God and to Kingdom Fellowship AME Church. It is a joy to serve alongside each of you in ministry and I can’t wait to see what God will do next as we all remain Kingdom Focused.
