Choose your mentors well • Every leader needs mentor • Elisha ask Elijah for a double portion of his spirit. • Scripture records that Elisha performed twice as many miracles as did his mentor. • See the several principles as outlined in 1 Kings 19 and 2 Kings 2. What we can learn from Jesus the leadership mentor • 1. He feels angry that His disciples can’t do the job of casting a demon out of a boy. • 2. Jesus the master Mentor provided: 3. Laboratories. Labs are places for experimentation. Jesus didn’t lecture but provided labs for his disciples to practice what they have learned.

Jesus the master Mentor provided: 4. Roots. Jesus give his followers a firm foundation and a sense of heritage. They sunk their roots into solid ground.

Jesus the master Mentor provided: 5. Wings. Jesus empowered his men to soar beyond where He went Himself. He pushed them and cheer them on in their victories.

Prayer Focus • Father, In the name of Jesus, I surrender myself to walk in the Word. Your word living in me produces the Life in this world. • The word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. It makes my way plain before me. • I boldly and confidently say that my heart is fixed and established on the solid foundation – the Living Word of God!
