ty Blatt is an art histor ian. She trained at Cambridge Un iversity and the Cour tauld Instit ute of Ar t and now teaches in Lo ndon. This talk is about one of the most famous paintings in the world: the Virgin of the Rocks by Leonard o da Vinci. It took 25 years to comp lete, was sought after by the mo st powerful rulers in Europe, and en compasses some of the most excit ing scientific and technical developments in renaissance art.
