In 2020, King of Prussia District and Upper Merion Township expanded the District’s boundary to include Renaissance Park, Discovery Labs and the GlaxoSmithKline facility. King of Prussia District engaged Stantec, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm, to facilitate a series of meetings with commercial property owners, public agencies, business tenants and residents. The process also included a visioning exercise, interviews and surveys that culminated in an action plan for the business park. This generated
Renaissance Park, GSK and Discovery Labs Stakeholder Engagement: Ideas and Actions for the Future.
The plan is focused on early action items that include physical improvements and brand development. King of Prussia District hired Stuart & Associates, a landscape architecture and planning firm in King of Prussia to create landscape plans for the Renaissance Park island medians in partnership with the Renaissance Park condo association. These medians were planted in 2021.
King of Prussia District also engaged D2 Groups to develop an exterior wayfinding and a signage master plan for Renaissance Park. The signage master plan will culminate with the design and construction of new gateway and wayfinding signage.
