Millennium Collection

CHINO, Calif. – December 26, 2012 – Over the years, Kingston Brass has bravely unveiled an assortment of collections that combine new and old styles. The Millennium collection is the newest addition to this category. Inspired by the eclectic artistry of the 1930s Art Deco era, the bold architecture of the Millennium faucets fuses classic and modern styles—in this case, emphasizing cross handle construction with an assortment of contemporary and traditional spouts. The alterable form of the collection’s many faucets welcome various décor styles in the kitchen and also the bathroom. “You will notice how the craftiness of the cross-handle levers blends nicely with the various spout styles,” said James Choy, Kingston Brass marketing manager. “We have explored with our research and found consumers develop new ideas while looking at our colorful designs.” Along with the usual centerset and widespread setups, Millennium offers lavatory faucets in bridge style construction as well as the wall-mount design for vessel sinks. To add functionality with rarity, the wall-mount pot filler is a great example of how the collection blends the new and the old and transforms and modernizes your kitchen. All of the lavatory and kitchen faucets flow at a rate of 2.2 gallons-per-minute (GPM) at 60 pounds-per-square-inch (PSI). For the shower heads in the tub and shower faucets group, the maximum flow rate is 2.5 GPM at 80 PSI. The tub filler faucets feature a maximum flow rate of 13 GPM at 60 PSI and are available with a three-hole to five-hole installation setups. The entire Millennium line is made from solid brass and features a ¼-turn ceramic carbide cartridge (with the exception of the tub and shower faucets – which use pressure balanced washerless cartridges). To help create a more complete look, Kingston Brass has additional complementary accessories such as toilet tank levers, angled and straight shut-off valves. All of these ‘components’ share the characteristics of the Millennium crosshandle—for ease of operation. This collection is available in polished chrome, polished brass, oil-rubbed bronze and satin nickel finishes.

Many take part in an effort to spot trends, experience product introductions and find practical solutions and connections to lead them into the future, according to KBIS. com. marketing manager for Aqua Eden. In addition to the unveiling of the Aqua Eden collection, Kingston Brass is releasing two new faucet collections providing consumers more products to see other than bathroom tubs, said James Choy, Kingston Brass marketing manager. The Millennium collection features an eclectic architecture combining new and old elements, trademarked by cross-handle levers with traditional/ modern-designed spouts. For those seeking a more classical look, the Tudor collection calls attention to its Victorian spout layout, its ‘taper-shaped’ handles and steeple endpoints—inspired by early 18th century English design.

“Overall the response with the pre-launch [Aqua Eden collection] has been overwhelming, requiring us to initiate a pre-order waiting list...”

Chris Zhao Aqua Eden Marketing Manager

“The Tudor and Millennium are a few of our many unique collections that allow people to think outside the box,” Choy added. “The design dares to mettle with old and new themes providing more options for the ideal setting.” Business Development Manager Brigham Wayman sees the unique styles as an advantageous move for the company catering to a wider customer base. “Every year, Kingston Brass has taken pride in presenting something new

and uncommon to the public,” said Wayman. “As a supplier of a wide range of kitchen and bath products, we provide the most in quality and innovative design— getting people to think differently and creatively with our offerings.” Kingston Brass will be located at the southeastern area of the convention center in Booth 4058 between Hall E and Hall F next to the press room. A Close-Up on Types of Shower Heads The shower head is an invention that may have been taken for granted, but keeps evolving every day. It isn’t hard to imagine how our modern day shower head, with all the bells and whistles, has evolved from a very rustic shower system used by the ancient Greeks in the city of Pergamum.

The jet spray shower heads are generally larger with a diameter of 4” to 12”—a very popular option since most prefer to stick to one setting.

four or six jets to increase or decrease the pressure and volume of water. The drawback is that if you prefer a pulsating shower spray, you will not be able to achieve that with an adjustable shower head. The Multi-Setting Spray

TYPES OF SHOWER HEADS To help you choose the right shower head, here are six common types.

K136A1CK

The Rainfall Spray This is probably one of the more traditional types of shower heads. As the name implies, the rainfall will give you the sensation of literally standing in the rain. Some enjoy this experience, although a few would add a hand-held shower. The rainfall effect will provide a much gentle soaking while the handheld shower will give a more aggressive spray.

The Waterfall Spray Used more for aesthetic effect than function, the waterfall shower head is generally paired with a handheld shower and/or an additional fixed shower head. This shower head provides a relaxing spa-like experience in your own bath. Although the design appears modern, these shower heads closely resembles the original design of the shower systems used in early Greek or Roman architecture.

Made popular by Waterpik, the multi-setting shower head has evolved to be much more. This particular shower head has specific settings which include: Pulsating, Spray, Soft, Mist, Aerated and in many cases, a combination of any two of the mentioned spray patterns.

The Jet Spray The jet spray mode is similar to the rainfall spray because both styles are not adjustable. One key difference is that the jet spray shower heads have small brass or rubber jets that pressurize the water, therefore giving a much more intense shower.

The Adjustable Spray The adjustable spray shower heads were made popular by the Speakman company, an American plumbing manufacturer founded in the 1870s. This popular design has been replicated by many other companies. While turning the lever on the side of the shower head, the spray pattern transforms before your eyes. The advantage to using this shower head is picking the spray pattern at an exact point while adjusting it for your comfort. The adjustable spray pattern is achieved by projecting or retracting the

The Handheld Spray Although in a category on its own, the handheld shower has become one of those essential components in many bathrooms. The handheld is very popular with senior citizens because of the versatility of being able to shower while sitting and using it for a full body wash. Mothers with small children find favor in using this shower head with multi-setting or adjustable settings. These settings offer a softer, gentler wash for infants and even pets. The next time you jump in the shower and decide that it’s time to change your shower head, keep the above information in mind to help you choose a type that best meets your needs.

KB8795NDLSP pears as a smoothly designed, thick and very wide cylindrical 2-1/4 headpiece that delivers two different spray functions: a saturating shower spray flow and a pulsating massage spray flow. The massage spray flow is a strong concentrated flow of water only surging from the jets at the central most part of the shower head. On the other hand, the saturating shower spray flow expels a rainfall-like stream flow. This flow is also the standard spray setting for most shower heads. The tub and shower faucet have a maximum water flow rate of 2.5 GPM/9.5 LPM at 80 PSI. The lavatory and kitchen faucets are measured to save water with a 2.2 GPM/8.3 LPM at 60 PSI. All of the faucets come with a Ÿ-turn washerless cartridge (including tub and shower faucets which feature a pressurebalanced washerless cartridge). Available in four different finishes (polished chrome, polished brass, oil-rubbed bronze and satin nickel), the color of the NuvoFusion faucets will definitely enhance the senses with its new-age dazzle and cutting edge features. The appeal of NuvoFusion equates to its functionality offering homeowners with countless possibilities in personalizing their kitchen and bathroom.
