LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We acknowledge that our campus at King’s University College is situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, and Lūnaapéewak, and Chonnonton peoples, all of whom have longstanding relationships to the land of Southwestern Ontario and the City of London. King’s common first year provides economics and finance students a broad liberal arts foundation. By the third and fourth years, students engage in specialized curriculum tailored to their chosen fields: economics, finance, financial economics, or combinations with other programs. Students pursuing graduate studies complete an undergraduate thesis with faculty mentorship. All students have the option to work toward an industryrecognized designation and participate in Western’s internship and study abroad opportunities.

First year BMOS students take a common core of Math, Economics, and Business and then select 2.0 elective courses based on their areas of interest and potential Program(s) of study. Each stream is linked to a professional designation or certificate program for students intent on working in a specialized field upon graduation.

BMOS Internship Program Studies
The BMOS program offers an Industry Internship Program (IIP) for students interested in practical degree-related experience in an employment setting prior to graduation. Internships are available across a broad sector of private and public companies and are aligned with Program(s) of study. Students spend 8 – 16 months working in their chosen industry between the third and fourth years of their degree.

SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK
As a professional program, Social Work is not direct entry from high school. Students complete required pre-requisite courses in their first two years and apply to enter the BSW program for their third year. In this program you’ll learn the skills and knowledge to make a difference. Our small classes and exceptional faculty offer engaging lectures, peer collaboration, and individualized support.
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Preparation for professional practice in the dynamic and evolving profession of social work begins with the Bachelor of Social Work. Our program includes education for social work practice with individuals, families, groups and communities. The opportunity to develop practice skills is provided through direct experience in a variety of social service and health organizations under professional supervision.
Master of Social Work (MSW)
(Applications to the MSW are completed through Western’s School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies)

Designed to develop and enhance the knowledge and practice skills of social work professionals, our expanded MSW program includes a greater selection of practiceoriented courses and more opportunities to apply theory in real-life situations. Two streams are offered: 1-year advanced standing for those with a BSW, and a 2-year program for students who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree in another discipline.
IVEY BUSINESS SCHOOL
Honours Business Administration (HBA)
The Ivey Business School at Western University is one of the most prestigious business schools in Canada and has been ranked the No. 1 MBA program for eight years by Bloomberg Businessweek.
It is a second-entry program meaning that students have the freedom to explore their academic interests in their first two years of university. Students have the opportunity to apply to the Ivey HBA Program from any faculty or program in their second year.
King’s provides a strong foundation in the first two years of your studies, being mentored by professors in small classes, and engaging in leadership opportunities to enhance their leadership and skillset.
The Ivey Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) extends conditional, pre-admissions status to the HBA Program to exceptional King’s students.
WESTERN EDUCATION
Pathways to Western’s Faculty of Education provide King’s students with opportunities to teach at both the Primary and Secondary levels. Students must meet the general admission requirements of the pathway as well as the program stream requirements and complete the CASPer Assessment which is mandatory for all applicants.

King’s students each year participate in an international experience, enhancing their global perspectives.
King’s will grant an award of $2000 to full-time students participating in a full-year academic exchange program ($1000 for one semester), and $1500 for students participating in an international experiential learning opportunity ($1000 for part-time students).

Ontario Admission Requirements
To be considered on the basis of your Ontario Secondary School Diploma you must have a minimum of six Grade 12 U and or M courses (excluding co-op) and the prerequisites required for your program. Prerequisites will be included in the calculation of your admission average.
OTHER ADMISSIONS CATEGORIES:
Canadian High School – Other Provinces Students applying from outside of Ontario, please check our website for specific admission requirements by province.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Successful completion of the IB Diploma
- Passes in a minimum of six subjects; three of which must be at the Higher Level (HL) with no mark less than 4.
- Prerequisites completed for the program you are applying to as specified by King’s. See Admissions website for specific requirements.
U.S. High School
- A minimum of 4.0 full Senior (Grade 12) academic courses
G.C.E. Advanced Level
- 3 distinct A-Levels or (4 distinct AS-Levels) with a minimum average between “B” and “C”
- Advanced Standing may be awarded for A-level courses with final grades of A or B
College of Applied Arts and Technology (CAAT)
- Completion of a one-year General Arts and Science Certificate, Human Services Foundation Certificate, or Pre-Health Science Certificate with a minimum cumulative average of B OR Completion of a two or three-year diploma with a cumulative average of B
- Transfer credits may be awarded from a completed two or three – year diploma

Send Transcripts and Required Documents:
After we receive your application, you will receive an acknowledgment email requesting any further documents we need. We must receive supporting documents before we can make an admissions decision.
If you are transferring from an Ontario college or University, transcripts may be electronically submitted through the OUAC. If you are a current Ontario high school student, your grades will be submitted to the OUAC automatically by your school.
English Language Proficiency Requirements
Students admitted to King’s must be proficient in written and spoken English. If English is not your first language, you must provide proof of your proficiency in listening, speaking, writing and reading English, with either an official test or approved ESL program. Waivers are available if you have studied in an English-speaking environment for 4 or more years.
We reserve the right to ask any applicant to provide proof of English language proficiency.
If you apply to King’s and your English language proficiency test scores do not meet our requirements, you can apply to the following English as a Second Language programs. If you successfully complete the program, you meet the English proficiency requirements for admission.
If you are concerned that your final average will fall below our minimum admission requirements, please complete an Applicant Profile. The Applicant Profile allows you to detail extenuating circumstances or extracurricular activities that support your application. DUE: May 1st.
