We provide students with a leading undergraduate experience through our two programs: Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies – both with several program streams.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

Degree programs in Economics and Finance

OUAC Program Code: EKO

Specialized degree programs in:

• Economics

• Finance

• Financial Economics

In first year economics and finance students receive a broad liberal arts foundation. By third and fourth year, students receive a more specialized curriculum tailored to their area of study; be it economics, finance or financial economics. Students wishing to purse graduate studies complete

an undergraduate thesis mentored by a faculty member, and all students have the option of working towards an industry designation in part through their academic studies. Students can also participate in Western’s internships and study abroad through exchange to enhance their experience.

Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies (BMOS)

OUAC Program Code: EKD

Specialized degree programs in:

• Accounting

• Finance & Administration

• Global Commerce

• Organizational & Human Resources

First year BMOS students take a common core of Math, Economics and Business and then select 2.0 additional elective courses based on their areas of interest and potential stream of study. They specialize into one of the four areas beginning in second year. Each of the areas of study is linked to a professional designation or certificate program for

students intent on working in those areas upon graduation.

Internship Program Studies

The BMOS program offers an Industry Internship Program (IIP) for students interested in practical experience prior to graduation. Internships are available across a broad sector of private and public companies and aligned with student program areas. Students spend 4-16 months working in industry between their third and fourth years of their degree.

Application deadline for the BSW: March 15, 2023

Preparation for professional practice in the dynamic and evolving profession of social work begins with the Bachelor of Social Work. Our program includes education for social work practice with individuals, families, groups and communities. The opportunity to develop

practice skills is provided through direct experience in a variety of social service and health organizations under professional supervision.

MSW

Application deadline to the MSW: January 15, 2023

Designed to develop and enhance the knowledge and practice skills of social work professionals, our expanded MSW program includes a greater selection of practice-oriented courses and more opportunities to apply theory in real life situations. “Studying in Australia has been one of the most amazing experiences. Being able to live in a foreign country and continue my studies is something I would definitely recommend to my friends. The University of Notre Dame Australia (Fremantle campus) is so similar to King’s in many ways! I really loved being able to go to the beach for a few hours in between classes since it was so close. I got to meet so many amazing people and made friends that will last a lifetime.”
