What will you do during the Horsham District Year of Culture 2019? With over 270 events to choose from across the district you’ll be spoilt for choice.

March starts with The Book Lovers’
Supper Club inviting you to celebrate the best of crime writing in the southeast at the first-ever Leonardslee Crime Festival on 2 and 3 March.
Bring your children along to help them explore the natural world at Wildlife Watch at Chesworth Farm for 5-11 year olds and, for the adults, enjoy Heat 2 of the brand new Sussex Comedian of the Year comedy competition, open to up and coming comedians from all over the UK.
Lovers of music will enjoy Fisherman's Friends, Cornwall’s ‘buoy band’ film stars on 20 March at The Capitol Theatre and a piano recital at the The Drill Hall Horsham by Jeremy Young who now enjoys a reputation as one of the UK’s most respected and versatile chamber pianists. The concert is part of the Horsham Music Circle’s 77th Season.
Those with a more literary bent may like to catch up on The Written Word: a Literary Life of Horsham District exhibition at Horsham Museum and Art Gallery - you are encouraged to look out in your local Horsham District library for displays about Horsham writers produced in conjunction with Horsham Writers Circle.
April offers a host of events, from tea tasting in Leonardslee Gardens and Easter family fun or a vintage vehicle shows at Amberley Museum, to workshops at The Blue Idol, a Sussex Guild
Patricia Routledge and Piers Lane.
Contemporary Craft Show, and a free organ recital at Horsham Unitarian Church. The Capitol sees appearances from Dame Patricia Routledge and the cricketer Jonathan Agnew.
There are walking tours of Bramber, A Norman’s Tale promenade at Bramber and Upper Beeding, picnics at Leonardslee Gardens, Bach in Billingshurst and Easter eggs at Parham House & Gardens. And don’t forget the start of the Shipley Arts Festival in April which sees the return of many of our artists in what has become an international community of artists and musicians.
