About me When I was finishing high school and tasked with making a decision on ‘what to do for the rest of my life!’, creative courses were not highly encouraged. At the same time, I visited CEPT, School of Interior Design in Ahmedabad, India. Pragmatic side of mine influenced me to become an interior designer. Securing my degrees in Interior design and working as Designer in India I decided to move to Australia with my family. Where I started my career as Junior designer and gained experience of interior design industry in Australia. In-between of the first role and recent I am a progressive professional with expertise in interior architecture and design with 14+ years of experience. I have exceptional background and ability to develop interior spaces well integrated with base buildings and surroundings. I Expertise in corporate workplaces, hospitality and retail project management, effective at all phases of development from initial concept to completion. Offering diverse perspectives and innovative solutions that communicate visually; ability to express idea through a wide range of media. I am innovative professional capable of creating dynamic designs independently and in collaboration with associates and clients. I am experienced design leader, skilled in writing proposals, delivering client presentations and building key relationships to grow client base.

RXP again chose to partner with Contour on the design and fitout of their new Innovation Hub in Sydney, this was RXP’s 3rd office with Contour and me. The brief was to create an office with a homely and cosy atmosphere. It was important for them to encourage employees to feel at home while at work. The idea was to create an IT office, which was innovative but also user friendly, creating a feeling of a living space within an office. I used a New York loft style interior as central design theme, with mullion detailing to glazed partitioning, marquee bulb letter signage and street art characteristics through the use of wallpaper. The imperfect, exposed concrete floors and ceilings create a relaxed, comfortable feel. This combination of materials, careful space planning and overarching cultural vision create an office environment that aims to attract and retain top talent. Work happens anywhere here, and a wide range of alternative work spaces were designed beyond the workstations, including the casual lounge, meeting rooms and the multiple ares of soft seating scattered throughout the Innovation Hub.

Fronditha Care is a charitable, community based organization providing services to Australian elders of Greek speaking background, through aged care facilities. The front of house was designed to evoke an engaging, welcoming and ‘savvy’ environment, through green texture, timber-look flooring and the colours of Modern Greek culture. Throughout, clever creation combines cool and warm tones that are fresh and contemporary. A modern mix, this colour palette makes a great user interface combination. The application of coral tones is warming and inviting, providing a pleasant transition from the cooler tones.

Company’s culture is built on innovation, excellence, responsibility, loyalty and transparency. The brief was to create a space which can create the echo of company’s culture Casual breakout areas, where conversation feels natural. Light-infused workstations. Soundproof spaces, for confidential meetings and staff events. The CEO mandated an ‘open-plan’ approach to the workspace, driven from the need to encourage more collaboration and real time dialogue within the organisation. The carefully thought through layout, along with features such as exposed ceilings and timber floors, combined with the corporate culture ensures that staff and clients alike can grasp the soul of CONTIUR as they enter the space.

Xello is a leading IT and Software consultancy firm based in Melbourne. Due to significant growth within the company, Xello relocated to a larger space in 607 Bourke Street, and appointed Contour to undertake the design and fit out. A highly creative space was the requirement, and one in which the team could realise their full potential in fulfilling customer satisfaction. The amazing space features exposed services, polished concrete flooring and the corporate black of the Xello brand, along with warm timber tones and subtle biophilia through hanging plants and carefully located pot plants.

Care Super was looking for a classy look and feel to the front of house space, which would present well to clients and board members alike. A large multi purpose working space in the front of house also means that clients, partners and staff members from other offices can utilise the area for temporary office accommodation, staff can use it as a breakout and the whole zone can be opened up for functions when necessary.

Operating in Adelaide, Melbourne and Hobart, Axsys appointed Contour to undertake the design and fit out of their new office space in Melbourne. The project involved developing the design of the office space to create a workspace that aligned with their corporate vision—to be a business that puts the needs of our team and clients first. The themes of collaboration, communication and flexibility were predominant in the outcomes the design sought. A combination of natural finishes and bright tones brought about the stunning result that is Axsys’ new office.

After working from 350 Collins Street for a number of years, Charles River decided to relocate to 15 William Street. PolyNovo is an ASX-listed company that develops innovative medical devices utilizing a patented bioabsorbable polymer technology. Polynovo’s biggest challenge was overcoming staff growth, and establishing the best way to undertake a refurbishment when their focus needed to be on managing the affairs of the business. Contour’s single source design and management solution perfectly suited their needs, and was a significant factor in Polynovo’s selection process. The final result was that Polynovo doubled their capacity, while providing a far more engaging space for their staff to come to through the introduction of breakout areas and informal meeting pods.e.

VTMB (Vic Teachers Mutual Bank) One of Australia’s largest Mutual Banks, supporting teachers & their families with savings accounts, loans, insurance, term deposits, credit cards and more, now known as Bank First. VTMB secured a building of 4 story including Trading bank on ground floor with operations offices on the other 3 floors. The concept for VTMB New office seeks to maximize workflow and integrate all divisions within the organization. The Proposal is focused on creating a pragmatic and innovative working area that reflects the VTMB’s corporate identity Use of bright colours to colour code all floors saperates operationswise, centaral kitchen and breakout on the middle floor(Level2), Saperate Executive areas i.e. board room, exec. reception, function space and office on Level 3 with engine room technical data centre on Level 1.

The Hertz Corporation, a subsidiary of Hertz Global Holdings Inc., is an American car rental company based in Estero, Florida that operates 10,200 corporate and franchisee locations internationally. Repid growth of company in Melbourne leads Hertz HQ to relocate to a new address at 636 St Kilda road, accross 3 levels of the building became then the land mark from Old ‘Schewps’ to ‘Hertz’ building at the end of St Kilda road! Interior Architecture was the main focus of the project as internal circulations and teams conected through a flight between floors. Bold colors, large scale graphics to suit corporate identity and open office plan with ABW ( activity based Work) environment was the key points of the new fitout design.

Griffith Hack are leading attorneys, specialising in intellectual property, trademarks & patents. Level 10, 161 Collins Street is one of Melbourne’s most prestigious buildings and posed some interesting design challenges for Smith Madden –essentially old meets new. The building envelope is comprised of 2 buildings adjoined by a central atrium. Modern architectural detailing to 30% of the tenancy has been completed whilst the further 70% of the tenancy features ornate detailing in the form of arched windows, marbled niches to the perimeter and 2 further levels of essentially meeting/ conference room space housed within the tower of the building.

Singapore Airlines is one of the world’s largest and most respected international aviation brands and was ranked as the world’s Number One airline in 2018 by Skytrax’s World Airline Awards. Singapore Airlines was looking to create a more engaging office environment, and also cater for additional staff growth in their Victorian state office in Melbourne. After undertaking initial project consultancy with Contour, Singapore Airlines selected Contour as their partner of choice for the delivery of the project. The end result was a space that reflected Singapore Airlines’ premium brand, and helped to drive greater staff interaction.
