STEVENS RESIDENCE
LAGUNA BEACH
CALIFORNIA
After losing their Laguna Beach home in a tragic landslide, the Stevens family decided to rebuild their house overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In order to insure stability the new house will be anchored into solid bedrock by several concrete piers. The hill may slide again, but the house is not gong anywhere. This model was prepared to show the client and the city’s notoriously strict architectural review board how the home would fit into the new grading of the site while preserving neighbor’s ocean and mountain views.

HUANGPU RIVERFRONT REDEVELOPMENT SHANGHAI
Located directly across the Huangpu River from Shanghai’s financial district , this site is currently occupied by heavy industry and high rise residential towers. The local government is seeking to redevelop the site as a riverfront park, lined with high rise luxury residential and office condominium towers, vertically mixed use office and retail buildings, and a world class entertainment district. This plan links all of these uses together with a linear park system and was prepared as part of an international design competition held by private developers and the government.

Primary Roads
The transportation network of Santorini, while more than adequate to serve the needs of the local population, is overloaded by the large numbers of tourists that visit the island. This plan calls for both the improvement of a number of transportation corridors as well as the island’s ports and airport. Of special importance is the way that the existing road and pedestrian circulation networks serve tourist destinations within the settlement of Fira.
