i love the research community that invests in science and design to develop new knowledge, technologies, and solution approaches for a sustainable future. as a responsible architect, i avoid wasting space, material, time, energy, and even waste. a proactive, interdisciplinary and meticulous team member who excels in delivering the right tools, resources and support - at the right time - with little or no direction. able to anticipate scenario needs and then respond in a decisive, calm problem solver during multiple assignments simultaneously and works with confidence and ease in even the most challenging, fast-paced environments and unpredictable situations. an organised, multicultural and highly motivated architect with 10+ years of academic writing experience in research, investigation, analysis, and exploration between design, urbanist, sustainability, climate change, economic aspects and unknown fields. more than two years of working experience for a perfect understanding of applying innovation in the real world and anticipating the working professional‘s thoughts. i appreciate your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon.

being a lifelong learner is a trait that is really important to me, and i know that a good education is not just for the schoolyard. some lessons were learned in the traditional way, while others i have received from professional mentors, while working and in some cases, friends and family.

in our way of thinking, a research centre is a place where the local community can meet and make the arts of living from the space alive. it‘s a place of exchange between the community, researchers and students from other sites. we imagine this centre with flexible use, a place that supports human interaction. we will face the topics of sustainability and affordability in architecture while thinking of climate, the economy of the project, space and organization. densify to facilitate the meeting possibility. follow the path made by locals to integrate them into the research centre.

the popular dream of a lifted public space where everyone feels included in zürich. the idea of a dream-like market, where the public sphere is connected to the neighbourhood. the fairytale extension of a high street. the public area turned into personal spaces for temporary activities. recognizing the right to use a high-quality space beyond its commercial aspects encourages a flaneur attitude and suppresses the segregation between luxury and ordinary ways of living.

during the trip to baltic states, we explored the soviet and post-soviet urban developments and transformations in the baltic capital cities -riga, vilnius and tallinn. we also observed the characteristics of the rich and colourful landscapes between them. the exhibition aspires to transmit their peculiarities from a subjective point of view. each picture raises different questions regarding the photography composition and the architectural and urban contexts. this exhibition aims to trigger the visitors’ imagination and encourage them to explore their similarities and differences themselves.
HIL D FOYER FEBRUARY 19 – MARCH 2, 2018
BUILDING ON THE SOVIET PAST EXHIBITING PHOTOGRAPHY OF THE BALTIC STATES
The exhibition displays works of the students who participated in the seminar week in fall 2017, »Riga, Vilnius, Tallinn. Post-Soviet Urban Planning and Developments in the Baltic States.« The students were asked to document their observations through photography, focusing on the urban and architectural legacies of the Soviet past, and their current transformation and developments. While we perceive »The Baltic States« as a single entity, they show remarkable differences in architecture, urban design, and planning approaches. Therefore, through this exhibition, we aim to make their distinctive characteristics evident in a poetic juxtaposition of photographs. CHAIR OF ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN DESIGN, PROF. KEES CHRISTIAANSE Curated by Filippo Romano, Gyler Mydyti, and Joris Jehle CONTACT: Joris Jehle, jehle@arch.ethz.ch OPENING: Monday, February 19th, 18.00

zoí is free space. a minimal, non-prescriptive space that accommodates any creative use by its inhabitants. 24 modular wooden triangles form a hexagonal base, while the appropriation in venice cuts the hexagon in half and shifts the pieces into an elongated layout. each seating triangle is covered by a layer of various warmly coloured textile cushions. above the visitors’ heads, surrounded by a plywood frame that mirrors the shape of the base, lengths of matching fabric form a roof. the thin wooden structure is carrying the roof functions as a frame for a textile wall, which holds the installation’s printed manifesto.
