YORK ACADEMY REGIONAL CHARTER SCHOOL, YORK, PA

YORK COLLEGE OF PENNSYLVANIA ENGINEERING CENTER, YORK, PA

Renovations to transform a historical ironworks building into a charter school with a 27,000-square-foot, three-story addition. Our team took extensive measures to match new elements with the building’s historical features and showcase its original timber and brick construction.

Conversion of a former fabrics building into a new Engineering Center including metal and wood fabrication areas, laboratories and a student community space. We also installed a large mural and artifacts to connect history with state-of-the-artengineering.


RESIDENTIAL

THE GUNTHER AT BREWERS HILL, BALTIMORE, MD

KREIDER COMMONS, LEBANON, PA

Transformation of a 19th-century brewery complex into a contemporary apartment community. Our team went above and beyond to match original construction details to meet National Park Service and Maryland Historic Trust requirements.

Transformation of a six-story industrial facility into one- and two-bedroom senior living apartments. Initially exceeding budget, we worked with the architect to provide value engineering allowing us to reduce the overall cost.

Transformation of cotton sail manufacturing buildings into a modern apartment complex. With Jones Falls waterway running through the site, we carefully planned all work to protect the environment during construction.

Renovations to transform a historic warehouse into an upscale, urban environment. Our preconstruction services included extensive value engineering and constructability reviews, which helped save the project over $1 million.

APPELL CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS, YORK, PA

GETTYSBURG MUSEUM + VISITORS CENTER, GETTYSBURG, PA

Renovations to modernize aspects of the historic theater as well as combining six structures to expand the main lobby, box office, stage house and the proscenium. Our team also restored the walls, ceiling, ornamental plaster and paintings throughout the space.

Conservation and relocation of the historic Battle of Gettysburg painting. All 26 painted sections were removed and placed on custom-built work tables, where world-class conservators meticulously cleaned and refurbished each panel before it was placed in its new location.

Conversion of a food production facility into an office space. Despite late and major scope changes, our team was able to selfperform the structural steel fabrication and erection to expedite the work.

Transformation of a 100-year-old warehouse into a new office space. Many of the building’s original architectural features were saved as decorative elements in the interior design, including restored brick walls and an interior skylight.


THINK LOUD HEADQUARTERS, YORK, PA

Renovations to the 110-year-old building for the rock band ‘Live.’ The historic nature of the building required that all exterior paint was hand-scraped and windows removed and custom-milled to create historically accurate replicas.

Conversion of a former warehouse into an office space, including masonry restoration and roof repairs. We included features like sustainable materials and highly-efficient building systems to meet the client’s sustainability goals.

GETTYSBURG HOTEL, GETTYSBURG, PA

HOTEL INDIGO, BALTIMORE, MD

Renovations to this 150-year-old hotel including 119 guest rooms, a ball room, lobby, and tavern interior. Our original 10-month schedule was compressed to 4 months and we were able to successfully complete renovations in time for the Battle of Gettysburg anniversary.

Interior and exterior renovations to a historical building to create a new hotel including 162 guest rooms, meeting and board rooms, and a new full-service restaurant and bar. Preconstruction planning and coordination allowed our team to meet the partial occupancy needs of the client with minimal disruptions to their daily operations.
