Will Sclerotherapy work on my veins? A Complimentary vein screening evaluation is available to determine if sclerotherapy is right for you. During the exam you may also be checked for more serious “deep vein problems, often indicated by swelling, sores, or skin changes at the ankles.

Say goodbye to
What are the treatments like? This is a non-invasive procedure performed in our office which takes approximately 60 minutes. First we clean the area to be treated and and mark the veins to be injected. Using a tiny syringe a small amount of sclerosing solution is then injected into the vein, causing the vein to collapse and disappear from view. The number of injections varies, depending on the extent of vein damage. Once the treatment is completed you will be asked to wear compression stockings for several days
How long is the recovery time? You are able to resume normal activity within 24 hours. At that time it is very important to keep moving and walking because it increases the blood flow through the other veins, which helps the healing process. As your body continues to heal the veins will continue to lighten. Generally 2 or 3 sessions are needed, at least one month apart to achieve the desired results.

Spider Vein Veins s!
What are spider veins? Spider veins are small, thin veins that lie close to the surface of the skin. Althought these super-fine veins are connected with the larger venous system, they are not an essential part of it.
BEFORE SCLEROTHERAPY
AFTER SCLEROTHERAPY
Spider veins usually take on one of three basic patterns. They may appear in a true spider shape with a group of veins radiating outward from a dark central point; they may resemble tiny branch-like shapes; or they may be simply linear and appear as thin separate lines.
What causes spider veins? A number of factors contribute to the development of spider veins, including heredity, pregnancy and other events that cause hormonal shifts, weight gain occupations or activities that require prolonged sitting or standing, and the use of certain medications.
Your new look! Most patients are pleased with the difference sclerotherapy makes. The skin of your legs will appear younger, clear, and more healthy-looking. If you’ve been wearing long skirts or slacks to hide your spider veins, you will be able to broaden your fashion horizons. Often patients are surprised at the dramatic difference in appearance between a treated leg and an untreated leg. Although sclerotherapy will obliterate the noticeable veins for good, it’s important to remember that treatment will not prevent new spider veins from emerging in the future. As time passes, you may find you need a "touch up” or full treatment for new vein surfaces. But even if you choose no additional therapy, your legs will look better than if you never had treatment at all.
