Let’s Fish Getting More People Fishing More Often
What is it? Let’s Fish is a programme that has been established to create more opportunities for anglers to go more often. Developed as part of the Angling Whole Sport Plan, the Angling Trust have used research gathered through the National Angling Survey to put a programme together to help overcome some of the barriers stopping people fish more regularly. To achieve this aim, the Angling Trust wants to work alongside fisheries to deliver programmes of 6 week activity, provide training for identified volunteers and provide one to one support to fisheries to plan, organise and promote the programme. The 6 week programme may involve some form of coaching/tuition, a focus on fishing for a specific species or simply an opportunity for local people to fish with other anglers organised by your Angling Champion.
