ENGLAND ATHLETICS PARTICIPATION ACTIVATOR Salary £12,260 per annum (20 hours per week) Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2015 Midlands and South West Region, Swindon & Wiltshire Run England is the recreational running programme designed to get the whole country healthy and active, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, shape, exercise background or geographic location. From beginners to run leaders to club membership, Run England offers an inexpensive, accessible, social way of getting fitter. We are currently recruiting a, part time ParticipationActivator within the Swindon & Wiltshire area. You will need to work closely with local run leaders and Run England groups to ensure that their development needs are fully supported. The successful candidate will be a target driven individual with demonstrable experience increasing participation within recreational sport, including those who are inactive. Working under the supervision of the Club and Coach Support Officer, the Participation Activator will be responsible for growing participation in running through developing and supporting Run England leaders and groups. You will also act as a lead in Swindon and Wiltshire, working in partnership with Wiltshire Council, Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire and Swindon Sport, to deliver the Swindon and Wiltshire Recreational Running Plan. Ideally you will hold a Leadership in Running Fitness licence or a Coach in Running Fitness, UKA Level 2 Endurance or Athletics Coach licence. Travelling will be required so a full driving licence and use of a car (or other transport means) is essential, mileage will be paid at 40p per mile for a car from base.
