avigating through a sea of information, no matter how interesting it might be, is not always easy. Sometimes, one loses sight of what’s really important. Therefore, we present you the Academic Bulletin. The Bulletin is a “short and sweet” version of the KISC Newsletter encompassing the most important and relevant information on the academic side of things. Its aim is to keep you informed and up-to-date on school happenings twice a term, listing exam schedules, announcements, parent-teacher interviews, important dates, upcoming school events, etc. For the ones who prefer an extensive and detailed report on what goes on at KISC and EQUIP, the Newsletter, in its usual format, will be coming out once a term. We hope you find the Academic Bulletin useful and interesting! Communications Department

DATES CHANGE FOR 2105-16 ACADEMIC CALENDAR

A couple of changes to the dates of Dashain holiday and Christmas holiday for 2015/16 have been made to the originally published dates. This is for the following reasons: • The original date we had for Dashain was not correct so we have changed the holiday dates for Dashain to reflect our normal holiday length. Term 2 will start Wed 28 Oct 2015. • Having compared our number of school days with other local international schools and our holidays from 5 or 6 years ago we have noticed that there has been a noticeable reduction in the number of school days per year. Therefore we have increased the number of school days by reducing the length of the Christmas holiday. Term 3 will start 12 January 2016. • The start and end dates of the academic year remain the same (August 4, 2015 - June 29, 2016)

On February 2, KISC is celebrating its 28th anniversary. On this occassion we would like to invite you to pray with us for all our students, staff, KISC and EQUIP projects and needs. People will be praying for KISC all over the world, around the clock, for 24 hours. Be a part of it and visit this link to sign up for your payer slot: http://vols.pt/Djs6er. Also, consider joining us for prayer during a Whole School Assembly on Monday February 2, starting at 8:10 AM.
