Academic Bulletin / 1 October 2015 DEAR COMMUNITY

TERM 1 VALUE

Next week we close our first term and our focus on love. As always we have had fun and grown as we’ve explored the meaning of love and how we can “love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and love our neighbour as ourselves”. Of course we know what love is because Jesus first laid down his life for us. All of us. This is our joy as a community to be able to rejoice in this love. We finish this term with some of the highlights of the KISC year - next week the Primary Splash Day is always highly anticipated by the students, and staff, and always a lot of fun. Also next week we have the second student council Dramical. If you missed this, as I did, two years ago then you should be in for a treat. This event will showcase some of the amazing talents of our secondary students as they perform the Dramas they have written themselves. Do come and join us on Wednesday evening in the hall for this event. Finally, we wish everyone in the KISC community a restful Dashain break and look forward to seeing you all on the 28th October when school restarts. Don’t forget that activity week comes up quickly on the 2nd November, so be ready for a great week. Secondary students and parents don’t forget to make sure you know what time you need to be at school on the Monday morning. With love, Daniel Parnell School Director
