Refrigerators Miele refrigerators are designed to keep your groceries fresh in an efficient and well organised way. Some models offer PerfectFresh compartments for keeping food fresh for much longer than in a conventional refrigeration zone.
Fridge-freezers If you don't have the space for a fridge and a separate freezer a Miele fridge-freezer will offer plenty of storage space for fresh and frozen food on a small footprint. Miele fridge-freezers have a large refrigeration section as well as a freezer section, each with their own door.
Freezers Miele freezers offer excellent storage for already frozen food and with temperature controllability down to -26째C are efficient at freezing fresh food. Miele freezers can be set up as stand-alone appliances or set up next to an appropriate Miele refrigerator or fridge-freezer. PerfectFresh Food stays fresh for up to 3 times longer than normal in the PerfectFresh zone. The advantages for you: better taste, better quality and a longer shelf life. So there's less wastage and you don't have to shop so often for fresh food.
Dynamic cooling The Miele dynamic cooling system circulates air around the cabinet enabling the temperature inside the appliance to be maintained at the same level throughout. This allows you to fully utilise all of the internal space, chill food quickly and store food anywhere in the fridge.
Frost free With frost free refrigeration appliances there is no build-up of frost and ice on food or in the appliance, eliminating the need to defrost the appliance. It works by circulating cool air around the cabinet. This picks up moisture which condenses and freezes on the evaporator. Heat from the compressor melts it from time to time and drains the condensate away.
SoftClose If the door is slammed shut you need not worry about bottles and jars falling over. The SoftClose door mechanism is designed to stop the door at the last moment, leaving it to gently close on its own. When the door opening angle is less than 30째 it will close by itself, even with the door shelves fully loaded.
SelfClose The PerfectFresh drawers in Miele integrated appliances can be pulled out to their full depth and have a self closing mechanism. Pulled right the way out you have full view into the drawer - and when opened by more than 4 cm a light touch is all that's needed for the drawer to shut automatically, quietly.
ComfortClean ComfortClean interior fittings in the doors of Miele appliances are made from top quality temperature resistant SAN transparent plastic which is particularly resistant to scratching and chemical abrasion. All internal door fittings in Miele's K 9000 and K 10000 appliances are also dishwasher safe to 55째C.

IceMaker Ice cold drinks are a must for parties and long, hot summer days: Miele's automatic IceMaker can produce about 100 ice cubes a day and store up to 3 kg of ice cubes in the freezer drawer. For the ultimate convenience a plumbed in ice maker will save you having to remember to refill the water.
VarioRoom The VarioRoom storage concept allows you to arrange storage space in the freezer to suit your needs. This is particularly useful when you have something tall or bulky, such as a large turkey, to freeze. By simply removing a glass shelf and a drawer you have plenty of space for that awkward item.
VarioBord VarioBord refrigerator door shelves are both practical and elegant. Made from high quality materials they are easy to take out of their holders and replace and can even be taken from fridge to table for serving.
EasyOpen lever handle The EasyOpen lever handle has been elegantly styled to match other Miele built-in appliances. Its lever action is cleverly designed to release the seal and open the door effortlessly. Depending on appliance it is available in solid stainless steel or stainless steel look plastic.
Refrigerator shelving Easy cleaning and adjustable fittings are important factors when thinking about new refrigeration appliances. Miele's safety glass shelves can hold up to 25 kg of produce and are easily removed for cleaning. Height adjustability and split shelves are offered on most models for added convenience.
Quality and safety
Alarm An audible warning tone sounds if the door is left open for too long, if the temperature inside the appliance has risen unexpectedly, or if there has been a power cut. This enables you to react quickly and prevent the temperature of your food from getting too warm or defrosting, deteriorating or going off.

LED lighting LED lights are maintenance free and illuminate the internal cabinet perfectly. Compared to a standard lightbulb, LED lighting is particularly energy efficient and does not require looking after.
Super cool By activating this function the temperature in the refrigerator zone is dropped to the lowest level for 6 hours. This is ideal when storing a large amount of fresh food at once and helps it chill to the right storage temperature quickly. It can even be used for chilling drinks like champagne to the pefect drinking temperature. The appliance will revert automatically to the normal refrigeration temperature after 6 hours.
Active AirClean filters Food not only needs to be stored somewhere cool, it also benefits from an odour free environment. This is easily achieved with Miele's Active AirClean filters which contain an innovative combination of effective ingredients: active charcoal together with a natural product called chitosan. The filter is simply fitted to the back of one of the glass shelves for effective, odour free storage conditions.
TouchControls Miele's TouchControl panels offer a totally smooth operating interface with sensor controls that is easy to keep clean. A light touch of the finger is all that's required to activate a function. The temperature can be set to the exact degree you want, and is shown in a digital display.
Super freeze This function is used to get the temperature in the freezer down to - 18째C and below quickly and efficiently. This enables fresh food to be frozen quickly and carefully and is particularly useful when freezing large quantities of fresh food.
CleanSteel For fewer fingerprints and easier maintenance: Miele's stainless steel refrigerators, freezers and fridge-freezers now have a special surface finish on the door that is resistant to fingerprints and soiling. Wine
Anyone who appreciates good wine will know how important it is to store it in the right way. Wine is alive! And as such reacts either positively or negatively to its environment. Certain conditions need to be met in order for a wine to either mature properly or keep without spoiling.
Temperature is ultimately the most important factor. The optimum temperature for storing wine is between 10–12°C, but any constant temperature within 5–18°C is acceptable. Any change in temperature on a daily or weekly basis can have a detrimental effect on the wine and cause it to age prematurely. If wines are kept at too high a temperature they will age faster, whereas if wines are stored at too cold a temperature, deposits will develop. This is why a constant temperature is vital.
Corks should always be kept moist, therefore storing bottles in a humid environment prevents them from drying out and shrinking. If corks are allowed to dry out, they lose their elasticity and allow air to enter the wine affecting the overall taste. Storing bottles horizontally is also important as it allows the wine to remain in contact with the cork, again helping to keep the corks moist.
Extraneous smells and light can also be harmful to wine. Any unwanted smells can enter the wine through the cork, contaminating it, and ultraviolet light may give wine an unpleasant aroma. Therefore a proper ventilation system, such as an active charcoal filter which can be found in all our wine storage appliances, is very important in helping to retain the overall taste of the wine. A solid door or a glass door, which protects from UV light is also a necessity.
