Photographic Exhibition Rules and Regulations 1. The “Women Refugees and Asylum Seekers” photographic competition is organised by the European Parliament Information Office - Malta and is open to all European Nationals residing in Malta. 2. Participants must be the copyright owners of the image submitted. 3. Each participant can submit one image, in black and white or colour, accompanied by not more than a 50 word description. 4. Images that have won prior competitions are not eligible. 5. Images of not less than 3MB and not more than 10MB in size must be submitted via wetransfer to epvalletta@ europarl.europa.eu. Images should be submitted in JPEG format. 6. The deadline for submitting the image online is Friday 19 February, 12.00pm 7. By submitting an image, the participant will be regarded as having granted the organiser
the right to use the image in print, broadcast and/or electronic media without any payment, for the purposes of promoting the competition, the exhibition or areas of migration, refugees and asylum seekers. 8. The images will be selected by a panel of judges on the basis of originality, creativity and relevance to the theme. The panel’s decision is final. 9. The panel will assign points to every entry and establish a ranking of entries. The winner will receive a prize of €250 in cash. 1st and 2nd runner ups will receive a prize of €100 each in cash. The first 10 entries in rank will be exhibited in a public photo exhibition with theme “Women Refugees and Asylum Seekers” to be inaugurated by Members of the European Parliament. 10. The first ten ranked entries will be included in special photoreportage publication including the works of Marie Dorigny. All participants will be awarded a Certificate. 11. Results will be announced on Friday 4th March 2016.
