The accomodation in Brazil is our “KiteWorldWide Pousada Brazil”, which is located just a few steps away from the spot. The pousada with it’s artistically designed buildings is surrounded by sand and a huge garden consisting of several various palm and date trees. Besides other kiters, you’ll see small monkeys and chameleons—among others. There are several lounges in the pousada where you can relax in a hammock or on a comfortable sofa after a tiring session.For those of you, who still didnt spend enough time in the water, the huge pool will be the right chill-out option.

KITESURFING IN TATAJUBA Welcome to the kitesurfing-paradise Tatajuba! From Juli until February, Tatajuba has a wind likehood of almost 100%. With side on shore wind, several flat water spots for beginners and freestylers as well as wave spots, Tatajuba has something to offer for everyone. Due to plenty of space on the water, beginners can ease! And the best; with an average water temperature of 28 degrees, you can certainly leave your wetsuit at home. THE SPOTS IN TATAJUBA The spot, which is located directly next to the accomodation is situated at a river mouth, which at high tide forms a huge flat water area. Here you find plenty of space for just crusising or to practice new freestly moves. Just a few hundert meters furhter, at the end of the river mouth, you’ll additionally find perfect wave conditions. Another 4 kilometer further, you can find a big sweet water lagune. Furhtermore, Tatajuba is the perfect origin for downwinder trips. Either you drive with the buggy towards Guriu, to kite back to Tatajuba or you start in Tatajuba and head towards Comocim. Both downwinders are approximately 15km long and give you more than enough time to surf down countless smaller and bigger waves.
Kiteschool
Directly on the spot in Tatajuba you’ll find the Kitesurf School, which offers courses for beginners, intermediates and advanced kitesurfers. Here you will appreciate the friendly atmosphere and management of the school. After a long day on the water you can chill in the hammocks with a cool beer and share your stories with other kitesurfers. The courses are held with VDWS standards COURSES In Tatajuba we offer several course packages, for all levels of kiter. + Kite camp for beginner (5 days, 15 hours) + Intermediate / advanced course (3 days, 8 hours.) + Refresh course (1 day, 3 hours.) GEAR At the KiteWorldWide VDWS kite center you can rent or try the latest equipment from the current season (Best Core, Brunotti‌). Even if you are having your own kite equipment this is the perfect chance to test the brand-new kite gear and leave your equipment at home. If you would like to rent equipment we recommend booking the kite gear rental with us before starting your holiday. The KiteWorldWide pousada in Brazil was built entirely out of natural materials. You will find the wooden and clay construction elements run like a golden thread through the entire pousada. These little details cause a magic atmosphere and make the place and the individual rooms truly something special. Furhtermore, the pousada offers free and sufficiently working wifi. BUNGALOWS Both of the roomy and comfortable bungalows are equipped with a king-size double bed, air conditioner, minibar, electronic safe and a shower with warm water. A real luxury is the private terrace with hammock from which you have an awesome view into the tropical garden. PALAFITAS The palafitas are a special kind of accommodation. These are wooden buildings on four meter stilts above the ground. As you can imagine, you’ll have an amazing view of the ocean and the river from these three houses. Each contains a king-size double bed, a shower with warm water, minibar and an electronic safe. Additionally there is a sofa and a desk.

KITE HOUSES The kite houses are all divided into two separated bedrooms and a shared bathroom. The living room can also be used by all occupants. There’s a large, comfortable sofa and a table for game nights. In addition, there is an electronic safe and minibar. From the hammock in front of the house, you’ll have a beautiful view of the river and the garden. BEACH HOUSE This house is located directly at the spot and is equipped with a bathroom, kitchen unit and a balcony. It consists of one room on the first floor. On the ground floor is the Kite storage. This accommodation is directly at the beach so you be out on the water kitesurfing in just a moment. FOOD AND BEVERAGE In the middle of the garden is the hotel restaurant. It’s a fully open air restaurant made out of wood, like all the other buildings. The restaurant offers a large selection of fresh fish, steaks, pasta, salads and sandwiches. They have also an authentic wooden oven for pizzas and an area for barbecueing. The breakfast leaves no wishes unfilled and is included in the price. You can choose between fresh rolls, bread, cakes, cereal, a selection of tropical fruits and a minor assortment of cold cuts. Crepes and eggs are made on order. You’ll also have the choice between coffee, tea and fresh juices. At the bar you can get all kinds of fresh fruit juices all day long, as well as soft drinks and beer or cocktails. You should not leave Brazil without trying the typical Brazilian Caipirinha, made out of Brazillian rum, squeezed limes, fine sugar and crushed ice. The bar also offers snacks and small dishes.

ola icaraizinho! WELCOME TO ICARIZINHO
We consider this small fishing village of Icaraizinho, besides Tatajuba, to be a new kitesurfing dream spot in Brazil. It is located on an expansive, beautiful palm grove in an idyllic bay with an endless view of white sandy beaches. You can find this paradise approximately 170 km northwest of Fortaleza and 100 km southeast of Tatajuba. With Icaraizinho, we’ve found another spot which makes every kitersurfer’s heart beat faster, as it offers an incredible variety of kitesurfing opportunities. The beginners and intermediates will be stoked to discover the various empty freshwater lagoons and river mouths. Intermediate and advanced kitersurfers can tumble around on the open sea, or discover a new passion visiting some of the nice wave spots – perfect for first attempts in the waves. KITESURFING IN ICARAIZINHO The home of Icaraizinhos lies just outside the door of our partner kite school. On the east side of the crescent-shaped bay of Icaraizinho the wind is slightly offshore. Therefore, the kite school is located in the western half of the beach. The spot is located on the open water and is a combination of flat water and waves (no shallow water) and the wind and swell depend on the tide. The spot is always considered ‘kite bar’. At low tide, the ocean is mostly flat and offers excellent conditions for practicing new moves. At high tide you have perfect conditions for wave kiting. In the morning the wind is slightly offshore and then turns to morning thermals, but with the onset of side-to side onshore from the right. Here you can count on high wind safety, the wind does not blow quite as strong as for example in Tatajuba (usually 3-5 knots less). The windiest time is from July until the beginning of February. We offer three great accommodations in Icaraizinho, each of which you are just a stone’s throw away from the kitesurfing school. From simple, but very clean and beautiful pousadas to bungalows with ocean view and whirlpool. There is something for everyone. All accommodations possess this Brazilian style and atmosphere, where you will find your way to relax and enjoy after a perfect day on the water rocking the waves and the wind. PAIS TROPICAL The Pousada Pais Tropical was built by an architect from the village Icaraizinho. This Pousada convinces with its combination of modern comfort and Brazilian charm consturucted with different components from exotic woods and the carnauba palm.
POUSADA CASA ZULU The Pousada Casa Zulu, consisting of two brand new bungalows and a main house (six bedrooms in total) is an awesome kiter’s accommodation with direct access to the beach.
VILLA MANGO The eight Villa Mango beach bungalows are situated in a fantastic location right on the coast with stunning views of the Icaraizinho bay.

Préa is a small, original fishing village and is known as one of the best and most windy places to kitesurf. The quiet and tranquille place provides the perfect environment to fully relax and enjoy unforgettable moments both on and off the water.

The Rancho do Peixe lies directly at the 15km long, sandy beach and is most definitely one of the most luxurious kitesurf hotels in Brazil. The bungalows are spread out over a wide area. On the grounds you can find a restaurant as well as an organic vegetable garden, a large pool, a chillout area with games, a snack bar on the beach and – of course – a brilliant kite school to take courses and rent equipment. Rancho do Peixe offers a free shuttle to Jericoacoara (it only takes 15 min.), four times a day. Ideal for sightseeing, shopping or simply to enjoy a nice dinner in town. KITESURFING IN PREA Préa has the highest chance for wind. From July until February nearly 100% and always side on shore. On site you will find the perfectly organized Cabrinha kitecenter. The kiteschool is specialized in private tuition and classes for kids. There is a designated area for beginners to ensure safe practicing. And the best thing yet, with over 28 degrees (celsius) water temparature you can leave the wetsuit at home. COURSES: The courses are offered as IKO standard. During the season there are many international kite instructors teaching in various languages. EQUIPMENT: The school is equipped with up to date gear by Cabrinha Kiteboarding. Renting is only available if the kiter has IKO level3 / VDWS level 4 or higher and is able to stay upwind.

All buildings are built with wood from reafforestation and natrual materials from around the area. The concept is to combine sustainability with beauty. This unique flair is maintained in each room through handmade, exclusive furniture and decoration. OCEAN VIEW BUNGALOWS These bungalows with ocean view are very spaceous and tastefully decorated in brazilian style. At your command is a huge double bed with a large mosquito net and two separated beds. In the further end of the room you will find the artfully crafted open wardrobe and the washing space. A seperate toilet and shower are right behind. Minibar and safe are also part of every rooms fitting. All rooms come with a private terrace for relaxation, an outside shower, a hammock and deck chairs. Time to unwind. COCONUT BUNGALOWS We reserved a great allotment for the ocean bungalows for you. In case, you would like to book one of the (only) minimally cheaper, but not close as nice coconut bungalows, we are glad to request a room for you. FOOD AND BEVERAGE The hotel has it´s own restaurant, a cocktailbar as well as a snack bar near the kiteschool on the beach. Many of the ingredients used in the kitchen were homegrown in the organic garden. The menu is varied offering a choice between drinks, snacks traditional brazilian or international dishes. Everything is freshly made and, if desired there is complete vegetarian menu available to choose from. Breakfast is included.

Jericoacoara or just “Jeri”, as it’s called by insiders, is well know for its laidback atmosphere and lively nightlife. Eventhough Jeri basically only consists of four sandy streets, you’ll find a surprisingly wide range of restaurants, pousadas and small local shops. For energetice holiday makers, Jeri offers various possibilites to get active. KITESURFING IN JERI Surfing like a rockstar! From July until February the chances for awesome wind are almost a 100 %. The wind is blowing with constant 18 to 35 knots side on shore. Beginners, intermediates, advanced kiters, families with kids who want to learn kitesurfing, or even the top freestyle Pro’s – in the area around Jeri, everybody will find just the right spot to match their needs. Beginners can ease, because there is enough space on the water. And the best thing yet, you can leave your neo at home – the water temperature doesn’t drop below 28 degrees. COURSES The courses are taliored to beginners and intermediate kiters and offered as IKO standard. During the season there are many international kite instructors teaching in various languages. (definitly in english and most likely in German, other languages might be available, too). EQUIPMENT The school is equipped with up to date gear by Cabrinha Kiteboarding in sizes from 5 m2 to 16 m2 to make sure that you’ll get the right kite for each wind. KITE SPOTS Preá is a small, authentic fishing village and is said to be one of the best places in terms of kite surfing. The pousada „Rancho do Peixe“ has its own kite school right on the spot. Jeri is the perfect place to feel the Brazilian way of life. The location of the pousada „Vila Kalango“, directly beside the sunset dune and the beach, makes it possible to choose between only relaxing or several other cultural activities, e.g. capoeira, forró dance. On the way to Tatajuba, you will be hypnotized by the breathtaking views of the landscape. general information ENTRY DOCUMENTS AND VISA
German residents need to bring their passport or the identity card valid for at least six more months. Residents from outside of Germany should inform themselves at the Egyptian embassy in advance. The costs for the Egyptian Visa (20 €) are not included in the price. The charge will be paid to the authorities at the airport right after the arrival. Your transfer driver will help you at sight in case you have further questions.
TRANSFER
Right after the arrival you will be picked up by a transfer driver of Egypt Sun Tours and be brought directly to Seahorse Bay. There sure is enough space for your kite luggage and unlike other providers you don’t have to pay any extra charges. Depending on your time of arrival the team of Ibi&Friends will be awaiting you at the kiteschool.
CURRENCY
In Egypt you can pay with Euros or Egyptian pound, as well as Visa or Master Card. Within the Kite Club you can pay with Euros but not with your credit card.
ELECTRICITY AND INTERNET CONNECTION
Thg voltage used in Egypt is 220 V. Plugs are two-pronged, like in Europe. In the internet corner you can use the wireless LAN network for free (slow).

A male kiter (level 6 or 7), who weighs approx. 80kg, needs:

Airport: Hurghada (HRG) The bigger tour operators Star Tour, Ving and Apollo fly from Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen to Hurghada once a week in the summer time and several times a week from October on. Airlines flying from Germany are Air Berlin, Condor, TUIFly and other charters. Flights from northern Europe take about five hours. Flights from southern Europe take about four hours. The transfer from the airport to Seahorse Bay takes about 15 – 20 minutes.
