Wroclaw, 15th March, 2019

Dear Sirs,

Valeryia Mazurkevich has graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Wroclaw University of Technology in the academic year 201 B/2019. During the last semester of the Bachelor phase she was working under my supervision on a diploma project for which the common theme for the whole group was 'Coherence'. While working on the topic she developed the project of a hotel on the Italian shoreline near Genova which featured an interesting intersection between architecture and nature. Throughout the whole semester Valeryia proved to be a person of individual approach and curiosity in seeking for innovative ideas, also in connection to regional architecture of Italy. During this time Valeryia Mazurkevich consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a dedication to the final outcome. She presented original, well-thought design concepts and wasn't afraid of experimenting. Furthermore, Valeryia was open and listen to suggestions with enthusiasm. She fully participated in the studio, asked intriguing questions and attended all classes. Motivated, intelligent, socially engaged, hard working - these are the words that can describe Valeryia's attitude. Easiness with which she adjusts herself to new situations and kind of courage and curiosity with which she approaches every - not only architectural - problem are the reasons that I show no hesitation to recommend her for any task in the future. If you have any doubts or would like to receive more information, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Roman Rutkowski

From: Dr. Eng. Arch. Jerzy Ll}tka Architect, designer and researcher at Faculty of Architecture Wroclaw University of Science and Technology To:

SUMMER SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE

Valeryia Mazurkevich

8 March 2019

Recommendation letter I have been Valeryia Mazurkevich tutor of "Summer Architecture School" organized at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland together with the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands and Yasar University in Izmir, Turkey. The primary purpose was to design an earthquake resistance water tower in seismic zones for victims of natural disasters. This course has consisted of 3 parts. The first part was research about resistance architecture, secondly, students experimented this structure and material, using the principles of parametric architecture, and the last part was building a prototype of the water tower, using high-quality tools. In this relatively short period, Valeryia has proven herself as an efficient, committed worker and trustworthy person. I felt her enthusiastic energy and engagement in the work process. I definitely can say that she found herself easily in the international team and meets all her responsibilities. During the process her team faced difficulties, but they overcome all challenges. This proves that Valeryia is stress-resistant and have great organization skills. I believe that these experiences and knowledge Valeryia gained will be valuable in her future career life. I'm glad to say that throughout summer school Valeryia showed the potential to become a high-quality architect and the team player. She was brave and willing to take a risk to archive better results in the project. I'm confident in my recommendation because Valeryia Mazurkevich has a tremendous amount of potential and would be an outstanding worker and learner. Sincerely, Jerzy L<!tka \ Q
