Dogs
In Maine, we love our dogs, and many establishments welcome them. There are dog-friendly inns and eateries, dog parks and, of course, opportunities to enjoy the beautiful beaches with your four-legged friends.
Kennebunkport
Dogs are allowed at all Kennebunkport beaches (Goose Rocks, Colony and Cleaves Cove) before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. June 15 through Labor Day, and all day the rest of the year. This does not apply to service dogs. From Sept. 16-March 31, dogs are permitted off-leash if under voice and sight control, except from noon to 6 p.m., when they must remain on leash. All dogs must be kept at least 200 feet from bird besting areas.
