A Look Inside Providence Grove High School Continued
The next part was lunch break and I got to meet the terrific ladies that prepare the meals. I was impressed that lots of local fresh foods are offered to the students. It was a breath of fresh air to see all the choices the kids and staff have.
Next stop was some more class visits from masonry class actually laying bricks to the chorus / band area. The excitement never stopped. Parents you need to feel blessed to have your students attend at this establishment.
I got to speak to several teachers likewise their passion for the school to the students was hard describe how they all take pride in PGHS and their roles. Another thing that impressed me was when the bell rings and changing of classes the admin makes a point to be in the halls to greet kids as they pass by. Everyone has great pleasantries to each other and the staff. In my day in schools year back this was mass chaos but not here at PGHS it was like a well oiled machine. It was cool to have some kids I had in the past church classes and youth make a point to some over to say hi as they passed by.
As I have heard the saying THE GROVE referred to by many at PGHS …. Well this term means more to me now after being able to spend a day among them. I look forward to being back and visiting again, wether an athletic event, a choral , a talent show or just to stop in to say hi. This is a welcoming school.
Keep up the great job everyone at Providence Grove High School and special thanks for the county to let me have this great opportunity.
Thankful
