On 8-3-18, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies served a search warrant at 145038 Greenwood Drive, La Pine, OR in northern Klamath County. A total of “54” marijuana plants were seized as a result of the search warrant service. After the grow operation was returned to compliance with amounts allowed by Oregon law, the following subjects were charged with Unlawful Manufacture and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana. Gina Gramenz (age 49) Jason Sibley (age 43) The attached photo shows similar marijuana plants in an early growth stage. Many of the seized plants in today’s incident were in this state, however, would have become much larger filling the greenhouse and leading to overproduction. The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office is not investigating legal grow sites but rather illegal marijuana grow operations were the overproduction of marijuana is likely destined for black-market sales. The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating numerous marijuana grows in various locations across the county. Members of the community are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office with any information they have regarding marijuana grow operations or thefts of water to irrigate those grows.
