Founder and Executive Director, FORGE Foundation Surfside, Florida Casey is the Founder and Executive Director of FORGE, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing veteran suicide through initiatives including the Overwatch Project. The Overwatch Project is coming at veteran suicide prevention from a new direction, using an approach that was successfully utilized to help solve another complex problem: drunk driving. The Overwatch Project is building the equivalent of the “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk” campaign for veterans, only instead of talking about alcohol and vehicles, it focuses on firearms and suicide. Through her participation in Stand-To VLP, Casey is working to expand and scale the Overwatch Project through an enhanced partnership model for veteran-serving nonprofits and through a new toolkit for veteran family members. 26
