Project Management Focus JOB SUMMARY Supports the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager in the growth and development of the group. Retains direct responsibility for the obtainment of annual revenue goals. Responsible for the recruitment, training, development and management of personnel. Oversees or manages, at an executive level, engagements as assigned by the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager. Responsible for financial management of all engagements assigned. Leads consulting staff in developing creative solutions to engagements and has the ability to perform the following functions: management of projects or programs and multiple projects or programs. Supervises the preparation, development and maintenance of the Master Program Budget and Schedule. Updates the budget and schedule on a regular basis. Prepares monthly Project Status Reports and Account Status Reports for each assigned project.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Plays a major role in assisting the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager with marketing and sales efforts so as to ensure that the growth objectives and annual revenue goals are achieved. 2. Leads the effort to recruit, train and develop the personnel to ensure that present and projected manpower needs are achieved. 3. Represents the company to the public, industry and community in such a manner that will enhance the reputation and image of the Company. 4. Conducts oneself in such a manner as will reflect credit on the Company and encourages one’s personnel to do likewise. 5. Actively participates in professional and industry-related organizations that will enhance the Company’s reputation and increase marketing opportunities. 6. Markets the Company through a minimum of one (1) presentation annually or one (1) published article in industry-related professional organizations and publications. 7. Develops and maintains a network that will assist in obtainment of annual revenue goals. 8. Assists in the development and negotiation of all proposals and contracts. 9. Performs other duties as assigned to enhance the development and growth of the Company. 10. Ensures the successful completion of all projects assigned through effective management of people, time and equipment. 11. Develops new client contacts and maintains existing client contacts to promote new and repeat client engagements.
GENERAL BACKGROUND AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1. Required Education – Bachelor degree from an accredited four-year program (Facility Planning - planning, architecture, design or administration; Project Management – architecture, engineering, building construction). 2. Preferred Education – Masters degree from an accredited program (Facility Planning - planning, architecture, design or administration; Project Management – architecture, engineering, building construction, real estate development). 3. Preferred Certifications – AIA, P.E., or similar designation. 4. Work Experience – minimum of 10 years of practical work experience. 5. Communication – excellent oral presentation and written skills. 6. Interpersonal – able to work well with others and participate as a team player. 7. Goal Oriented – able to set goals and achieve them. 8. Organizational Ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and ensure quality of work. 9. Computer Skills – Basic knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Windows.
