MEDIACITYUK MediaCityUK is one of Greater Manchester’s greatest success stories. In just over a decade, Salford’s derelict port dockland has been transformed into Europe’s first purpose-built media and telecommunications hub. The 200-acre site is now home to some of the biggest names in media such as the BBC and ITV as well as approximately 250 other innovative businesses. The beautiful waterfront area in Salford is now one of the up and coming areas in the UK, with an influx of young professionals flocking to the vibrant area to live and work over the last decade. MediaCityUK has also established itself as a world class tourist destination, offering an eclectic mix of activities from thrilling water sports to theatre productions.

Infrastructure • Greater Manchester’s Metrolink is one of the best transport systems in the UK and currently carries around 20 million passengers every year. • The tram from MediaCityUK only takes 15 minutes to Manchester city centre and 20 minutes to Manchester Piccadilly, which provides direct access to other cities across the UK. • The Trafford Park Line will run from Pomona Metrolink stop and terminate at intu Trafford Centre. It is expected to open in 2021. • There are frequent bus services that run from MediaCityUK to Manchester city centre throughout the day. • Access to the site by car has improved with the construction of Broadway Link Road, which connects MediaCityUK to the M602 motorway.
