A knitted fabric distinguishes itself from other woven materials because of its remarcable elasticity which is independent of the properties of the individual yarn of which it is made and its porous nature. Our team has managed to transfor Knitwear into a medium which is capable evoking tradition and make it tangible, thus enhancing the value of an area of creativity which was for so long in the shade.Waves, zigzags and geometric motifs, all portrayed in a range of different hues now bright, now delicate, fantastically autumnal like.At times there is only a fine line dividing fashion from art and in some cases there is no demarcation line at all.
Carmen Grigoriu’s passion for a career in fashion design started very early in 1991, when she was a Medicine and Pharmacy University student. She opended her first very own workshop and she was very successfull, maintainig a strong presence on the market for over 19 years. In 1996 she opened two fashion shops in Bucharest, one on the Magheru Boulevard and one in Mario Plaza. In 1997 Carmen Grigoriu started presenting her own collection year after year at the Bucharest Fashion Week, the most important fashion event in Romania.In September 2009, she presented her collection in Paris at the Pret a Porter show, in the GO MAGIC section, following this year 2010, to present the collection at the ATMOSHERE section, also at Pret a Porter Paris.
