he roots of Hultafors can be found in Hults Bruk, Östergötland, Sweden, where, in 1697, the original axe forge was founded. To honour old traditions and the craftsmanship the axes are named after famous blacksmiths and areas surrounding Hults Bruk. T
For the production of this collection Hultafors paid extra attention to the details. The axe heads, for instance, are made from Swedish steel and hit 40-60 times to improve the density and sustainability. The edge is hardened to make sure it is strong enough to stay sharp without breaking, but can also be sharpened. Basically everything you can expect from an axe head.
Hultafors uses American hickory wood for the handle. This wood is exceptional in absorbing blows without breaking. The manual assembly, combined with the ironwork leaves you with reliable axes that can be used for generations.
