Our education programs channel the talents of our orchestra, chorus, and collaborative partners to create accessible music experiences in our community, impacting approximately 4000 New Mexicans of all ages each year. Our Annual Concerto Competition for outstanding high school and higher education music students in New Mexico offers them a chance to perform with The Santa Fe Symphony and win cash prizes to further their music education.

In partnership with the Santa Fe Public Schools, our award-winning and innovative music mentoring program brings music professionals into the classrooms to support school ensemble programs through music coaching and one-on-one mentoring.

Each year, we present FREE choral concerts—in the fall, winter, and spring—to the Santa Fe community. These concerts feature family-friendly, entertaining, and engaging programs for all ages and highlight the talents of our orchestral and choral musicians.

Our popular Library Concerts feature Symphony musicians playing a variety of popular and classical music— demonstrating their instruments— while fostering a lively interaction with all. Geared towards children ages five to ten, all ages are welcome.

We introduce over 1,500 fifth graders to the wonder of symphonic music through our annual Discovery Concerts! Students are bused from Santa Fe, Pojoaque, Española, and local Pueblo schools to the The Lensic for a full classical concert.

The Symphony's Kid's Classical Concerts expanded last year and now Pueblo and other Northern New Mexico communities have been added to our hour-long music education concerts in the Santa Fe Public Schools and beyond.

Our Chamber Ensembles perform in a variety of community settings, including local schools, retirement homes and assisted living facilities, and Santa Fe Farmer’s Market del Sur—a collaboration with the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association.

Everyone deserves music and we are offering free tickets to students, ages 6 to 22, on a first-come-first-served basis to our 2023–2024 subscription concerts. Discounted rush tickets to students and teachers at SFPS and local Pueblo schools are also available!

Do you know a high school student in Santa Fe who loves to sing? Be sure to have them sign up for our Choral Apprentice Program. We offer a limited number of apprentice positions to high school choral singers who want to join The Santa Fe Symphony Chorus!
