A Cerami project does not have to be entirely ceramic. in additional to ceramics, I also took a course in origami. One of the basic folding shapes I learnd seem as if it would translate itself naturaly into a ceramic stove the surfaces touching the pans as well as the empty spaces giving the fire air to “breathe.

Iv’e hardly found any good reason to categories the projects Iv’e worked on during my studies. now, in retrospect, I can sort them into subject matters. with the coffee machine I attempted to adres the tension between foreign bodies. how does one object engage/connect/ intersect/lean on another.

Toaster

I’m not much of a toast enthusiest but I’ve noticed that a significant part of the toasting experience is the element of surprise. ta-da! the toast is ready without any warning. some might say that’s a part of its charm, but for me, a toaster could do with a sense of time. that is, a toster that makes the anticipation palpable by allowing its user to witness the toasting process and the time left until it will be ready for buttering!
