Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception PDF Review Naughty Dog's Uncharted series has come a long way since it made its debut in the Fall of 2007. The series has been greatly praised for its cinematic approach to action gaming, a story that pays tribute to the best action/adventure franchises and gameplay that is beyond rock solid. It comes to no surprise that fans are eagerly anticipating the third entry in the series, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, and it is looking mighty good. Nathan Drake will have a large number of different animation sets. This means that he will be able to react according to the surroundings. As if that wasn't enough, Drake also has great acrobatic skills that will enable him to jump from building to building, escape immediate danger and run as fast as the win. Other basic skills Drake has include climbing, swimming, cling against walls and more. In terms of hand to hand combat, Drake can now take on opponents in more ways than before. Drake can now partake in hand-to-hand combat with multiple opponents, contextual melee attacks will also be present, and even new stealth options have been included. Uncharted 3 also features an expanded method of gunplay where Drake can equip up to two firearms - one single-handed and one two-handed - and a limited supply of grenades. Drake can pick up weapons, automatically replacing the existing weapon he was using, and additional ammunition from downed enemies.

In wouldn't be an adventure game without some form of treasure collecting, and Drake's Deception is no exception. Collecting some of these treasures will earn players medals, that will also unlock coins. These coins can then be used to unlock new content, weaponry and features that can be used throughout the game. All of these stats will be tracked and use to unlock trophies awarded to the player during his or her game time. Multiplayer will also be an important component in Drake's Deception. Online play will be featured. The beta test of this mode first opened in July of 2011. According to players that gained early access to the beta, the following features were present: several customization options (as in different character skins), ability boosters, skill medals, and a progressive ranking system. Drake's Deception will be the first game in the series to introduce free-for-all modes such as the standard death match, character model and weapon modification, and dynamic environmental 'events' within multiplayer maps, similar to the set pieces from the game's campaign - such as a hostile plane flying above shooting all players it catches in its crossfire. There are mode multiplayer modes waiting to be encountered in Drake's Deception, which will be feature rich and accessible to everybody. No one can deny that the Uncharted series has been one of the most beautiful when it comes to visual fidelity. The environments have always been rich in detail, and character animation fluid and extremely life-like. Drake's Deception proudly keeps that tradition alive, except now they have added a layer of depth to it. The game has been touted by Sony as being a wonderful 3D experience. So much so that during their press conference at E3 2011 a big focus was placed on how the game will look and feel in 3D. Sony has even created a special bundle that includes a 3D TV, a pair of 3D glasses and a game just to impress gamers with 3D titles like Drake's Deception. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is shaping up to be an award winner when the end of the year awards begin to roll on. The fascinating story, the rock solid mechanics and the amazing aesthetics make the game one worth buying for your PlayStation 3. And if you have a little bit of money in you, investing on the 3D technology just might be worth it, too.
