February 22, 2017 Dear Friends and Clients, Overall, January 2017 was a month of increased activity, compared to January 2016. Total home sales were generally up 3-5% (and over 10% in Lake View) with the exception of Lincoln Park singlefamily homes. We saw a decrease in single-family sales over $850,000 nearing 10% in Lincoln Park. It will be interesting to watch the activity in this market segment as the year progresses, and the amount of inventory in this bracket stays strong. Currently, there are over 85 single family homes on the market in Lincoln Park priced over $2 million. That’s good news for buyers! Sellers will have increased market times and pricing will become more important than ever.
