INCHIKU BOTTOM JIGGING Inchiku snapper jigging has taken New Zealand by storm, many anglers in NZ believe this style of bottom jigging out fishes bait and all other lure styles for snapper. Our extensive field testing results on Australian snapper have been explosive to say the least. What is Inchiku jigging? - Inchiku jigging was developed in Japan, these jigs are designed to be fished off the bottom unlike knife jigs that require the angler to rapidly retrieve line and jig their rods frantically. The Inchiku jigs can actually catch fish whilst the angler's rod is in the rod holder. The design is virtually snag free, with the 2 chemically sharpened assist hooks which are rigged to 2 octopus skirts that move independently with the current, or the angler can gently jig the jigs. Our field testing crew describe these jigs as a snapper search bait. These jigs also work well on kingfish and deadly on a stack of bottom feeding species. The angler simply allows the jig to hit the bottom (and they get there fast ) then a slow retrieve, with a slow jigging action. Or simply wind and lift the lure just off the bottom and place the rod in the rod holder and wait.

32 CUTTING EDGE HOOKS Starting with the ďŹ nest surgical high carbon steel wire, we heat the wire to extreme temperatures of around 1750 degrees Celcius. At this temperature carbon stabilises iron resulting in extreme strength in relation to diameter. The most popular point manufacturing process is by grinding out a needlepoint. By using a new cold forging and cutting method we bypass the grinding method which can weaken the point. We then buff down the point eliminating microscopic peaks and valleys. Finally we chemically etch and sharpen the point ready for the anti-rust coating.
