HIS RURAL HOSPITAL, ONE OF FEW OF ITS KINDS in India, provides complete care for leprosy patients - from diagnosis to treatment to rehabilitation. Initially envisioned as a home in 1988, this organisation turned into a hospital gradually addressing complications related to leprosy and also providing peripheral services such as MCR chappals, artificial limbs and other devices. Patients suffering from deformities of hands and feet are provided with reconstructive surgery. It also provides treatment to poor patients and helps fight social stigma related to the disease. Nearly 2,100 surgeries are conducted each year with around 48,000 patients receiving OPD care annually.

Why you can trust the NGO The organisation was started by Mr W.C. Bailey after seeing the suffering of people affected by leprosy in India. He has been a radical force behind several global projects addressing leprosy.
