My name is Queen Annabelle, and when it comes to food in my kingdom, ehem, house, I'd eat everyone’s dinner in one go if I could. We have multiple pets in our pack of both feline and canine sorts, but I am the leader of the entire pack.
Because of my very close resemblance to my cousin the wolf, my mom feeds me my meals in a KONG® Wobbler to emulate the hard work it takes to eat a meal in the wild—like the hard work and dedication of my cousins in their hunt for food in the wild. This work keeps us apex predators in top shape mentally and physically by supplying us with long-lasting enrichment.
Similar to how my cousins eat in the wild, the Wobbler makes me use my nose, paws and, basically, my whole body to eat a meal slowly and skillfully. The Wobbler bobbles back and forth, side-to-side, and even in circles! Bits of food fall to my feet as I move it around, and I feast as I go until the Wobbler is empty. I get so focused on my food and the Wobbler that I hardly notice what everyone else is doing. It keeps intelligent dogs like me engaged for long periods of time—which is necessary to stay at the top of your game.
KONG makes a bunch of different styles of slow feeders and puzzles, so my mom has diligently selected one for each of us based on our feeding styles, needs, and personalities. My pack may not be as sophisticated as my wolf ancestors and I, but my pack deserves to be as healthy and happy as I am with my Wobbler.
