Press release Konica Minolta wins three BLI-Awards at once Langenhagen, Germany, July 2012 Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI), the world´s leading independent provider of analytical information and services to the digital imaging and document management industry, have honoured Konica Minolta with three Summer “Pick” awards: For their impressive overall performance, including excellent reliability and some of the fastest tested copy, print and scan speeds among competitors in their market sectors, the Konica Minolta bizhub C654 and bizhub C754 have earned Summer 2012 “Pick” awards for “Outstanding A3 Colour MFP” in their respective speed ranges. Furthermore, the new 9-inch touch pad, which is integrated in the whole new Colour MFP Line up received an award for “Outstanding Achievement in Control Panel Design”. In addition to the honours bestowed on the bizhub MFP devices, the Konica Minolta Unity Document Suite 7 earned a Summer 2012 “Pick” for “Outstanding Desktop Document Imaging Suite.”
According to the BLI test results, the bizhub C654 and bizhub C754 both demonstrated high reliability during a course of over 200,000 impressions, and proved to be among the most productive models ever tested in their respective speed ranges. Beyond that, both models showed scanning times which were up to twice as fast as competing units, and much faster than average in all copy and print tests. The standard MyTab print driver customisation feature, as well as the awarded impressive 9-inch multi-touch control panel give users a choice of three different interfaces to choose the one best suited for their needs. Based on the concept “know one, operate all” the whole new colour MFP range is equipped with this effortless multi-touch panel. BLI technicians also had high praise for the colour scan preview feature, which not only allows users to view scanned documents, but also to rotate and delete pages when needed. 1
The third Summer 2012 “Pick” award was given to the Konica Minolta Unity Document Suite 7 for “Outstanding Desktop Document Imaging Suite.” The extremely easy-to-use and all-encompassing desktop solution combines the capabilities afforded by the professional versions of Nuance’s excellent OmniPage OCR 17 software, PaperPort 12 document management software, and PDF Converter 7 application.
