Tranquillity and omnipresent nature define Piwniczna-Zdrój – a spa located in the heart of the Beskid Sądecki, in the picturesque valley of the Poprad River, in the south of Lesser Poland. This is an ideal spot for everybody who seeks rest, a contact with nature, who wants to listen raptly to the rustle of a forest and a river, who wants to admire undisturbed landscapes and drink healthy, mineral water.

So is Piwniczna-Zdrój at first sight. However, when we get to know the place better, we will see its second nature – a land with a rich history and folklore. Walking around the green forests of Piwniczna, we will see the traces of the long history of the region. We will be able to familiarise ourselves with the history of war couriers who, during the Second World War, used forest paths to get to the border or partisans who fought there. The valley of the Poprad River reminds us of merchants who travelled with carriages full of Hungarian wine along the trade route in the direction of Cracow.

Piwniczna-Zdrój is also known for its folklore as the land has been dwelled in by Black Highlanders who created the culture of the region – they weave carter’s gloves, graze sheep and make sheep cheese, cook regional dishes, paint and sculpt. Their traditions are presented at various events in the commune.

For a good night and a good day

Dobra.Nocka Apartments (Good.Night Apartments) are located in the picturesque Poprad Landscape Park, on the outskirts of Piwniczna Commune. The place is ideal for those who seek relaxation in a peaceful, green area with magnificent views. The place is also perfect for the ones who enjoy hiking, exploring forests of the Beskids, cycling or skiing. In a word, for all adventure seekers!

Dobra.Nocka consists of three independent apartments (each of them with a separate entrance) located in a fenced, detached, two-floor house. The house is surrounded by a garden, there are parking spots available for guests, a roofed terrace and a swimming pool.

Apartaments

Each of the three spacious apartments can accommodate from 2 to 6 guests. ‘0’ Apartament is on the ground floor and has a separate entrance from the yard. It covers 55 m2. There is a living room with a corner-sofa bed for two guests, a bedroom with a king-size bed and two single ones and a bathroom. Moreover, there is a dining room with a well-equipped kitchen. ‘1’ Apartment located on the first floor is similar in terms of size and equipment. A balcony, which can be entered from a bedroom and a living room is an additional element.

‘2’ Apartament is a bit bigger (60 m2) and consists of 3 double bedrooms. In the first one there is a king-size bed and in the remaining two, two double ones. Every bedroom has access to a balcony. Every apartment has a bathroom and a dining room with a well-equipped kitchen.

On request, a cot and a high chair are available.

The terrace

All guests who stay at Dobra.Nocka can take advantage of an all-year, glazed terrace. It is an unusually climatic place which adds to the charm of the building and guests can use it all year round. There are comfortable sofas with tables, a TV, darts and a fireplace. Summer breakfast tastes exceptionally good when the first sunbeams dance on the tables. It is equally pleasant to sit there by the fire with a mug of warm tea in winter after a day spent on the slope.

The swimming pool

In summer, to cool down a bit, it is a great idea to have a swim in the swimming pool which is also available to all guests staying at Dobra.Nocka. The swimming pool (5.5 m x 3.7 m) is 1.2 m deep and water is heated up by the sun and a solar panel. There is also a solar shower.

The swimming pool is surrounded by a relaxation zone i.e. sundecks on which one may rest keeping an eye on splashing around children. Right next to it, there is a barbecue site where guests may grill various delicacies. It is a great spot for gatherings.

In the garden there is also a safe playground.
