Idyllic views on the border between the Beskids
Tylicz is a small village about 10 km from Krynica-Zdrój. It lies on the border between the Beskid Sądecki and the Low Beskids. The area is famous for crystal clear water and air, breathtaking views, cycling and hiking paths and well-developed skiing facilities for families with children. The surroundings, the proximity of Krynica-Zdrój, Muszyna and Slovakia are just a few reasons to go there for a family holiday.
The village is located in a small valley at 575-585 m, at the confluence of the Mochnaczka and Muszynka
Streams. Łan Mountain (742 m) from the east, Szubienica (695 m) from the south and Szwarcowa (795 m) from the west rise over Tylicz. The location of Tylicz, the history of Lemko people, wooden historic sites and a variety of different attractions make it a perfect spot for holidays for amateurs of active leisure, tranquillity and those who want to calm down through the contact with nature which, in Tylicz, is in its pure form as it lies within the Poprad Landscape Park.
Modern and comfortable design in the Highlander style
In such a picturesque region we can stay at ‘Tylickie Wzgórze’ (‘Tylicz Hill’) which ideally integrates into the landscape of the Beskids. This is a place with a unique vibe where local colour intertwines with a modern design. The unconventional guesthouse is a complex of facilities in Highlander style enriched with modern trends.
The view from outside is just an introduction of everything inside – all the amenities are supposed to provide comfort to guests. As the hosts say – the place was created out of passion and respect to nature so that everyone feels good inside.
An exclusive version of folklore
The interiors have been designed with attention to detail so that they are either elegant or cosy and relate to mountain folklore. Numerous wood and stone elements refer to the tradition of mountain construction but you will not feel overwhelmed with them.
Natural fabrics soften loft elements such as austere, black lamps, metal elements and light bookcases in an industrial style.
The inspiration with the local nature, which can be admired through the windows, brought a herringbone motif on the wallpapers. Soft upholstery with nice colours and textures adds to the cosiness of the place. Carpets are decorated with mountain motifs as well. A fireplace situated in a corner of a restaurant ‘Spiżarnia Smaku’ (the Pantry of Tastes) guarantees a warm atmosphere.
A family place with a soul
‘Tylickie Wzgórze’ was created for families with children. It is wrapped in the smell and colour of meadows and hills of the Beskids, in the very heart of nature.
The hosts of ‘Tylickie Wzgórze’ (a family with three children) know exactly what parents and their children want during summer or winter holidays.
A family stay with creative workshops for children
Rooms and children corners inside, an outside swimming pool with a small beach, playgrounds for smaller and bigger guests, a zip line with a jungle gym, swings and houses on tree trunks – it is just the beginning of a long list of attractions for children. Moreover, small amateurs of sport can play football matches, watch puppet shows, develop their manual skills during entertainment and art workshops. All these attractions make a stay with children a pure joy!
Children do not get bored here and parents have some time for themselves
There is a cosy relaxation zone for adults: a barbecue hut with a stone hearth in the garden and a fireplace by which families may spend time together.
Additionally, a professionally equipped gym has been prepared for active parents. An entertainment zone with table tennis, table football and an oak billiards table are also available.
Recreation in the mountains with SPA & Wellness
The latest attraction in ‘Tylickie Wzgórze’ Guesthouse is a climatic SPA zone where everybody will find something for themselves. There is a big roofed swimming pool (15m x 4.5m x 1.1m) from which one can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains. There is a special paddling pool for the youngest guests. If you enjoy warmth and hot bubbles, you should relax in a jacuzzi, in a steam sauna covered with stacked stone or a designer dry sauna made from heat treated larch wood. Additionally, the SPA zone has a salt cave with a brine graduation tower which has a beneficial influence on the respiratory tract and is also recommended in children.
