Aventus 10 Ft Float Rod

After the popularity of the 11ft float, certain situations and venues left anglers asking for a 10ft version of this rod in the Aventus range. This has all the features of the longer rods in the range, but packed into a neat, lightweight 10ft version that is perfect for mugging fish at close range, shorter casts on smaller venues, or on swims where overhead cover and trees can be a pain!

The action of this rod is very progressive, with plenty of softness in the top end and ample power as you see the blank bend throughout to absorb the battle lunges of big fish! All the usual Aventus features are a part of the 10ft Float, including Zero-90 Carbon Technology which ensures a super crisp action, and helps you cast incredibly accurate thanks to a reduction in twist and wobble when the rod is compressed. This is perfect for this short weapon that will often be used by anglers for accurately casting to fish when mugging, or casting to small features such as islands at close range.

Lightweight single-leg Fuji guides are used throughout, with the cutaway reel seat for ultimate balance, comfort and feel. Of course there’s the A-Grade cork handle, with a bespoke Guru EVA hand grip and adjustable hook-up point to finish it off!

Aventus 13 Ft Float Rod

After releasing the 11ft and 12ft float, anglers were asking if a traditional 13ft float rod would be coming, and here it is! This length is the ultimate all-round float rod, for everything from river waggler work, to commercial silverfish action, slider or big-waggler fishing and Pellet Waggler fishing on big venues for carp! The length means you can cast maximum distance, and combined with Zero-90 Carbon technology and the very best materials, the accuracy of this weapon is incredible!

Action wise, the rod is truly all-round, with a soft top-end to cushion small fish when fishing light lines and finer hooks, but this progresses into the middle part of the rod building in power to handle even the biggest commercial and river fish with ease, in a generously absorbing way.

On the tech-spec side of things, everything you can expect from the Aventus range is present! The very top-end lightweight Fuji single-leg guides with durable Alconite rings, giving the rod a crisp action and weightlessness in the hand. The reel seat is the unique cutaway Fuji lightweight model, incredibly comfortable and giving anglers an amazing feel through the rod. An A-grade cork handle, with a bespoke Guru EVA hand grip and adjustable hook-up point finished this bad boy off perfectly.

Aventus 15 Ft Float Rod

This rod is designed with all kinds of float fishing in mind, when a longer rod is required for ultimate control. The build of the rod is unique and modern, enabling it to be used for a real range of fish species and sizes from small roach and dace on a river, right up to big chub and barbel! This all-round ability comes from to the rod’s action. The main body of the rod has plenty of backbone, which is needed for fast pick-up of line when float fishing, especially when trotting or running a float a long way down a river. It enables a quick and firm connection with the fish. The actual tip of the rod is then fairly soft, which is important for cushioning small fish, ensuring you can fish light lines and small hooks without losing them. The balance and modern abilities of this rod really come into play however, when a big fish is hooked. The middle sections still have a progressive action to absorb lunges and pressure when needed. A lot of this is down to the fact that the joints on this rod are overlay joints rather than spigot joints, maintaining the balance of rigidity and a progressive action.

Tech-spec wise, it’s packed with the latest technology and assets. It features Zero-90 Carbon Technology, which ensures a super crisp action, and helps you cast incredibly accurate thanks to a reduction in twist and wobble when the rod is compressed. The guides on the rod are top-spec Fuji single-leg reverse guides with durable Alconite rings, that are lightweight so not to affect the rods action and performance. Another finishing touch is the extra-lightweight cutaway Fuji Reel seat, which is comfortable to handle and perfect when holding a rod for long periods, giving the angler an incredible feel through the rod.

The 15ft rod in particular makes a perfect stickfloat tool, with the extra length aiding line control. The spacing of the rigs and large number of rings of the rod help ensure that line peels smoothly off the reel without any tangles or sticking to the blank, even in wet conditions. You may also notice that the guides do change colour throughout the rod, and this is simply because the highest quality guides we wanted to use on the top end of this rod are only available in certain colours. We didn’t want to let this cosmetic factor compromise the quality of the rod. An A-grade cork handle, with a bespoke Guru EVA hand grip and adjustable hook-up point finished this bad boy off perfectly.

Aventus Zero 900 1600

Given all the current technology available the Aventus 900 pole is quite simply the very best we could physically make. This pole is made using the highest grade of Japanese carbon. Using a fast taper which means the pole goes from thick to thin quickly, enables us to achieve incredible stiffness while maintaining superior strength.

The Aventus 900 is available in two-pole only lengths 13m and 16m. Both poles come with an Aventus holdall, tubes and one 3.5mm pre-bushed Light Match kit as standard.

Topkits And Accessories

There are three separate, same-length 2.4m topkits available that each have different bore diameters to take different elastics. All these come pre-bushed with quality PTFE bushes.

The thinnest Match Kit has a 3.5mm bore, perfect for all lighter solid elastics and thin hollows up to around a Pink Hydro Elastic.

The next step up is the 2.4m Match Power Kit with a 4.7mm bore and will cater for all hollows and solid elastics to the diameter of a Black Hydro Elastic with ease.

The thickest bore kit is a Carp Power Kit, featuring a 5.8mm bore catering for any elastic thickness, comfortably taking a Red Hydro Elastic.

All these topkits come with a reinforced wrap in the perfect place for the angler’s chosen side-puller system to be placed. The Cupping Kit for the pole is cut perfectly to fit the Guru Rapid Release Pole Cup Adapter and is the identical length to the top kits without cutting it down.

N-GAUGE SPECIMEN RODS

The N-Gauge Specimen rods are a highly versatile range designed for the specialist, pleasure and specimen angler targeting natural and commercial waters.

This latest range has been developed with 30 & 40 Ton tensile strength carbon to create a progressive power action, meaning the rods bend throughout the blank gaining more power progressively as the rods are bent further – perfect for playing big fish. Alongside this action, the rods remain light, well balanced and extremely comfortable to use. SEA-GUIDE anti tangle guides with slim Zirconia rings drastically reduce the risk of thin mono and braided lines ‘frapping up’ on the butt guide during the cast.

Our three dual-tip rods in the range 1.25lb, 1.5lb and 1.75lb are perfect for both feeder and float fishing on rivers and still waters. Each twin tip rod has a tubular top with a smooth progressive action suitable for float fishing and feeder fishing. The quiver top comes supplied with two additional carbon quivers balanced with the test curve of each rod suitable for all feeder work on natural and commercial venues.

The final rod in the range is the powerful 2.25lb Barbel rod which has an action designed for fishing big 4-5oz feeders on bigger rivers like the Trent when authority for both casting and playing hard fighting fish is required.

X-CHANGE BAIT-UP FEEDERS

Designed and developed specifically for baiting-up for the serious feeder angler, with the likes of Steve Ringer having a big hand in these latest tools coming to market! During the current feeder fishing boom, anglers have required a specialist rod for baiting-up, enabling them to be quick and efficient during the process. These two-piece rods are available in 10’ and 12’ versions to cater for the different distances that anglers now need to bait-up at, with casting weights of up to 170g (10’) and 280g (12’) allowing anglers to bait-up with big, heavy and feed-packed feeders effectively.

The powerful and fast action of the rods means that they can be compressed and loaded-up to cast to long-range with upmost accuracy, while the rapid tip action helps to empty the feeder as the rod is jerked, releasing the bait from the feeder perfectly. This can be used to empty the feeder at different depths to gain calculated baiting-up edges! Having strategically placed anti-frap guides prevent crack offs when punching heavy feeders out, and the end eye on both rods is ‘anti-frap’ preventing the annoying twist-up that often happens when baiting up with big feeders around the end eye on the swing-back of a cast.

Of course, there’s the long handle and bespoke Guru butt-grip for ultimate comfort, control and accuracy. Ideally, the rods can be used in conjunction with X-Change Bait-Up Braid and Bait-Up Feeders, which are all designed to hold then release feed effectively and make up a deadly bait-up range of products!
