Hoppy Hog Brand Design

Creating a design concept for the family brewery "Hoppy Hog" was an independent process of project activity, which consisted in defining the main criteria, objectives and goals of visualization, taking into account the semantic (ideological and thematic) component. The main dominant here was to ensure the correction of the image of the brewery.

At the stage of creative implementation, the task was to embody already formed positioning with new images, to reflect the combination of Odessa origin, the feeling of sea, historical places and the atmosphere of family traditions of brewing.

It was important to convey the crafting of the drink as uniqueness, as well as the feeling that beer was brewed where the quality of the product was treated with great trepidation.

Authenticity: uniqueness and crafting like an engine sales.

"Hoppy Hog" - should be one of the brands with a genuine passion for craft beer.

The world of craft beer is another niche in the market where authenticity is prevalent. For millennials, brewers produce many unique varieties of hop drink, using traditional methods of brewing, local ingredients, while maintaining environmental friendliness.

The design of the brewery "Hoppy Hog" reflects the concept, conveying to the consumer the main ideas of the brand - authenticity. This is authentic authenticity, sincerity, originality, adherence to roots and deep values. In this business it is the production of a unique product with stable associations, with all the subtleties and peculiarities of brewing. Such authenticity in business semantics implies traditionalism, the use of old technologies and recipes, “crafting”, adherence to local ingredients and details, environmental friendliness, uniqueness, quality at the level of the best craft brands, and the fact that beer is brewed here in Odessa! This project has everything.

Production of the family brewery "Hoppy Hog" should be perceived as an excellent product that stands out on the beer shelf, not only by design, but, equally important, by the quality of the beer itself.

Boar as a symbol of life and abundance.

In the Homeric and Old German epos there is a description of the battle badge - “boar’s head” on a warrior’s helmet; This sign of the walls is also on many other archaeological sites.

Wild boars in folklore, tales, legends are very common. They were a source of worship and adoration. About it evidenced by numerous legends. This was facilitated by the close proximity to the person and the involuntary copying of the habits and characteristics of the animal in everyday speech. Original moments can be found in the epos of southern Sweden, Yakutia, Greece, Japan, in many Slavic fairy tales and folklore epos around the world. In those days, wild boars were given a special tribute. They were endowed with amazing intelligence, strength, endurance, and the ability to rule wisely and fairly. In Scandinavian legends, a wild boar named Gullinbursty is mentioned as the sacred animal fertility god Freyr and the goddess of love and war of Freya. In the mythology of the Baltic Slavs, a huge wild boar, flashing white tusks, shows up from the waters of the sea whenever trouble threatens the holy city of Retra.

The image of the boar, which we use in the corporate style, as well as in the logo, is based precisely on this historical authenticity and is an allegory of courage, stubbornness and zeal with which the workers of the Hoppy Hog brewery strive for the quality of the product they produce, without fear bold experiments.

“Boar” is a philosophy and a collective character of an enthusiastic brewer, somewhere slightly wild and insane, but at the same time strong to recklessness, determined and stubbornly engaged in his business.

Creating an optimal consumer communication with the brand, our image performs, on the one hand, an informative function, and on the other - a function of emotional entertainment. It has a clear, effective verbal and visual binding.

Additional characters also act as intermediaries in communications with the target audience, but already in the role of “advertising heroes”. Moreover, they can be either inside the advertising space or leave it, becoming an independent revived essence of the product. They have a mandatory binding to the brand, they are endowed with positive characteristics that are projected in the minds of consumers on the brand.

Created images in the corporate style of the family brewery "Hoppy Hog", one way or another personifying the product, are one of the most effective ways to create a positive brand image. All characters are inseparable from the brand and help to tie together all those ideas about the brewery, which accumulate in the minds of each consumer.

The aesthetics of all design, its versatility and adaptability help the brand to be a sought-after trademark.
