2-Storey Medical Building or 8-Storey Condo? The long anticipated development of a professional/medical building in the SouthWest corner of Farmstead Drive and Derry Road may not come to fruition. During a recent council meeting, plans for the development of a 6-storey condominium building were reviewed.

The developers, York Trafalgar Corporation and Sutherland Group, have received low response to their posted signs for inquiries into leasing opportunities in the originally planned medical building, prompting them to change plans and build a residential condominium building. While current zoning would permit an 8-storey building, the current request is for 6.

We recently experienced a situation where the home owner and their REALTOR® decided to review offers on a Wednesday at Noon, a time not often used and one where not many people are available. in the evening or a weekend, they likely would have had more offers -- even if the other offers weren’t very good, it gives you leverage and a way to negotiate with those that are more serious.
