Hood Shields
Our Features Make Our Hood Shields Superior to the Competition: A simple concept... an intelligent solution. Leading Edge® Hood Shields are mounted at least 1" away from the hood with patented bracket system and breakaway nylon fastener system that is capable of clearing extremely tight hood tolerances and still keeping it away from the surface of your hood, protecting it from debris as well as from contact with the hood shield. The Leading Edge® Bracket System creates a drain system that prevents the build-up of damaging moisture and debris. The Leading Edge®
rubber washer isolation prevents damage caused by contact between plastic and steel. The highimpact acrylic used on the LE series is thicker and more rigid than the competitor’s products. Unlike Lexan® Polycarbonate, acrylic won’t flex against the hood and will not “yellow” or become dull when exposed to the elements. Driver Design Hood Shields are available in Clear, Smoke, and pre-painted. Consult your application guide for applications and available colors.

Our Features Spoiler edge styling in true smoke or clear High Impact Acrylic for the LE Series. (Our clear shields can be painted for a custom look). The High Impact Acrylic used on the LE Series is thicker and more rigid than the competitor’s products. Unlike Lexan® Polycarbonate, Acrylic won’t flex against the hood and will not “yellow” or become dull when exposed to the elements. A Patented Bracket System maintains the space between the hood shield and the hood. Rubber Washer Isolation prevents damage caused by plastic steel contact. Patented Breakaway Nylon Fastener System prevents damage to your hood shield from overtightening of screws. The Bracket System accommodates extremely tight tolerances and allows correct fitting to vehicles with rubber extrusions under the hood.
