A message from the President & CEO… As we prepare to deliver our 2015 program of work, we look back to see where we have been. We measure our successes, improve our processes, and evaluate how we delivered our mission. Once again, this award winning Chamber has moved forward while many of our peers have stagnated. 2014 was a year of exciting developments as we worked to meet our member’s needs and be the Voice of Business in Kosciusko County. Many of you have visited us in our new facility. The Chamber had outgrown our old offices. Staff was working in spaces that were once closets. And, our Board felt that we should take the lead in creating a “one-stop shop” for economic and community development. Phase 1 of that plan was the acquisition of our new commerce center. We have invited community partners to co-locate. While those partnership opportunities develop, we are in the early developmental stages of our Innovation Center. We plan to open “Launch Kosciusko” in the summer of 2015. This center will bring together the resources needed to grow and support entrepreneurs in the region. Our new facility features space that our members routinely use to conduct business. We have a training center, board and conference rooms that are offered to members without charge from the Chamber. This is a member benefit that we could not provide in our old facility. And, we helped meet a need the County Police had for storage. We gladly provide indoor storage for special operations vehicles so the County does not have to use tax dollars to build additional facilities. We also completed the acquisition/merger of Warsaw Community Development in 2014. This strengthens our delivery of community development services. Our staff absorbed the WCDC mission as part of their routine daily activities during 2014. We met, planned, and delivered that mission to our members in the C-4 district of Warsaw. In 2015 we will be adding a Main Street Coordinator to ensure we deliver at the highest standard. And, we look to see how the Main Street USA program can serve all communities in Kosciusko County. Of course I would be remiss in I did not acknowledge the most dynamic Chamber staff and progressive Board of Directors. Your Kosciusko Chamber Team members are the reason we continue to win awards and peer Chambers reach out to us for direction. It is exciting to build a team from within to serve our members. And the support our team gets from our Board ensures that we can continue to move forward and deliver new programs with enthusiasm and purpose. I am honored to serve the members of this great organization.
