Membership Information ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS
BENEFITS OF THE KELLER POINTE MEMBERSHIP Registering as a member of The Pointe is the best way to take advantage of all The Pointe has to offer. Members have access to all fitness equipment, the running/walking track, gymnasium, indoor and outdoor aquatic centers, locker room facilities, and towel service.
DEFINITION OF A FAMILY A Family Member includes anyone who lives in the same household and may be claimed as a dependent.
MEDICAL FREEZE In the event of a medical condition that prevents you from utilizing The Pointe, members may freeze their annual membership for $10/month by providing a doctor’s statement. Once a doctor’s release is obtained to return to the facility, the membership will be reactivated for the length of time it was frozen. If patron has a family membership and elects to freeze the membership, the entire family will be frozen. Medical freezes must take place within 30 days of the medical condition arising. Expired memberships are not eligible for medical freeze. We also offer other account freezes. See our service desk for eligibility requirements.
DAILY ADMISSION If you choose not to become a member of The Pointe, you may still enjoy the amenities of this great facility by paying the Daily Admission. The Daily Admission allows you entrance to the fitness center, indoor and outdoor aquatic centers, gymnasium, track, and locker rooms on the day of purchase.

Your annual membership is good for one year from the date of purchase. As an Annual Member, you will receive all of the wonderful benefits mentioned earlier. This is the most economical way to take advantage of all The Pointe has to offer.
Annual Fee - Non-refundable For individuals choosing to purchase an annual membership by paying for one year in full, the membership is non-refundable with the exception of the 30-day Opt Out Period.
30-day Opt Out Period All annual members have 30 days from the date of purchase to request an annual fee refund. One month, at the monthly rate, and a $60.00 service charge will be deducted from the annual fee refund amount. After 30 days, no refund is available.
Annual Fee Transfers Individual or family annual members may transfer their membership to another individual or family. If the individual or family receiving the annual membership is a non-resident, the receiving party will be required to pay the difference between the resident annual membership fee and the non-resident annual fee. If a nonresident annual member is transferring their annual membership to a resident of the City of Keller, there is no refund for the price difference.

PROOF OF RESIDENCY In order to confirm City of Keller residency for a Pointe membership, present your driver’s license and complete a membership application. A customer service representative will assist with an ID card and payment. A membership card will not be issued without a valid driver’s license as proof of residency. Membership Information RESIDENT BUSINESS
With a month to month membership, The Keller Pointe will automatically debit payments from your bank account, MasterCard or Visa. Your Pointe membership and monthly payments will automatically continue until you notify us in writing that you wish to discontinue your membership. A $60 service fee is due when you register for your month to month membership.
If you work at a business located in the City of Keller, you are eligible for a discounted membership. Upon joining The Pointe you will need to show proof of employment with the Keller business address on it.

30-day Written Notice for Cancellation of Monthly Membership For those individuals choosing the monthly payment option, a 30day written notice is required to discontinue the monthly payments. The $60 service fee is non-refundable. A service fee of $20 per returned payment may apply.

The Keller Pointe has three single meeting/banquet rooms: • Wild Rose Room • Double Springs Room • Cross Timbers Room
Bear Creek Rooms are available for rental from 5:00 am to 1:00 am. (Note: The building closes at 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 9:00pm Friday, 8:00 pm Saturday, and 6:00 pm Sunday after which extended hour fees will apply). The deposit and half the rental must be paid at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the rental.
ROOM CAPACITY • One Room: with chairs: 90 people with tables and chairs: 50 people • Two Rooms: with chairs - 180 people with chairs and tables - 100 people • Three Room: with chairs - 270 people with tables & chairs -160 people
FACILITIES • All three rooms have a tile floor • The Cross Timbers Room has direct access to the catering kitchen ($25 flat fee) • The Wild Rose room has a recessed projection screen • Access to wireless high speed internet in each meeting room at no additional cost • Round or rectangular tables to suit your event needs
DEPOSITS A deposit of $100 is required on facility rentals, along with the completion of The Keller Pointe Facility Reservation contract and payment. The deposit will be refunded if the area used has been left in good order and all conditions of the contract have been met. An additional $150 deposit for alcohol consumption is required, along with the cost and scheduling of a Keller police officer on site. A Keller police officer is also required for any after hours teen events. All rentals are a minimum of two hours.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR ALL FACILITY RENTALS A written cancellation notice signed by the applicant must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event in order for user to receive a full refund minus a $25 service charge. A forfeiture of the reservation fee will result if a user fails to provide a 30 day written cancellation notice.

LOCK-IN PARTIES Spend the night at The Keller Pointe! Each lock-in party includes eight hours of fun. Participants will have use of the gymnasium, indoor pool (limited time) and Bear Creek Rooms. Islander Pool Party: Features: Decorated cake, punch, ice cream, pool party assistant, choice of party favors, and use of indoor pool. This league is perfect if you are just learning the game of volleyball, or need to perfect your skills as you get ready to try out for your local school team. Fun and learning are emphasized over competition in this league. Participants will be split into two age groups; 8-10 & 11-14. Teams will have one practice a week and games will be played on Saturdays. The 8 to 10 year old division will practice either Monday or Wednesday evenings and the 11 to 14 year old divisions will practice either Tuesday or Thursday evenings. This league puts a great deal of emphasis on learning the fundamentals of basketball. Whether you are learning the game of basketball, or are interested in developing your skills, this league has something for everyone. Teams will have one Friday evening practice each week and games will be played on Saturday’s beginning at 3:30 PM. Each participant will receive their own jersey. SOFTBALL LEAGUES Give yourself a competitive outlet by turning a double play, running down a ball in the gap or knocking a dinger over the fence and join our Adult Softball League. Our league is competitive and still fun at the same time. The league is USSSA sanctioned. Teams will be required to play with softballs provided by The Keller Pointe. Our Swim Lesson Coordinator will make arrangements for a time that works best in your schedule. Please complete a registration form with payment at the Customer Service Desk and the Coordinator will contact you. Private lesson policies: •Max of two participants per lesson. Must be same skill level •Cancellations made 24 hours in advance will be rescheduled •Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will not be rescheduled and are non-refundable. Want to be a lifeguard through the American Red Cross? This class teaches all lifeguarding skills and how to respond to and prevent emergency situations. Certification includes: Waterpark Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards, and Administering Emergency Oxygen. ATTENDANCE AT ALL SESSIONS IS MANDATORY. Minimum requirements: 1. Minimum of 15 years of age. 2. Ability to swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke. 3. Monthly Birthday Breakfast It’s even better than breakfast in bed! The birthday breakfast is served (with a smile) at 9:00 AM on the second Wednesday of each month. T’ai Chi Classes T’ai Chi will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. and cost $20 for 4 weeks. T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese art that provides a gentle way to exercise, stretch, breathe and relax. The Sun style T’ai Chi to be taught is especially formulated for persons with Arthritis. No special equipment is needed, just loose clothing and flat-bottomed shoes.
Computer Classes
Teaching the class is Certified Teacher, Elaine Rice. Bring all of questions and get started on a new hobby. This is a FREE class. Just show up to participate.
AARP DRIVERS SAFETY Every other month, the KSAC hosts the AARP Drivers Safety class taught by AARP volunteers. The eight-hour class is open to persons aged 50 and older. Cost is $14 for non AARP members and $12 for AARP members. Completing this class may save you 10% on your auto insurance for the next three years. Are you interested in learning how to use a computer? New Computer Classes start at the Senior Activities Center each month. The classes are $5 for those over age 55. A low impact workout designed specifically with seniors in mind. Classes on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30 pm. Exercises performed in a chair & standing to improve agility, balance, coordination, & activities for daily living. We will incorporate free weights & elastic tubing with handles for added resistance to work all major muscle groups and increase muscular strength and range of movement. A short meditation will compliment the end of your workout. Water bottle and proper shoes are mandatory. No open toe or backless shoes will be permitted.

ROCK THE PARK Join us for the first Rock the Park. The mission of the festival is to promote quality family experiences and to encourage healthy and active lifestyles. Activities will include bounce houses, petting zoos, superstar stage, fitness demonstrations, climbing walls, crafts and stage entertainment. Entertainment will feature children’s artist, Eddie Coker, Critterman and “If you give a mouse a cookie,” a special performance from Genesis Theatre. The festival will wrap up with musical performance by Johnny Cooper and a Grammynominated band to announced August 22. Channel 11, Dallas Athletes Racing and Keller Parks and Recreation will present the Get Healthy Kids Triathlon, the morning of the Rock the Park. The triathlon is open to children four to 13 years of age and will include a swimming, biking and running portion. Rock the Park will also feature, Taste of Keller, a chance for Keller restaurants or caterers to showcase their tasty cuisine. Keller Farmer’s Market will be hosting cooking demonstrations where chefs will demonstrate how to prepare fresh seasonal Texas Foods. SPOOKY KOOKY KELLER KASTLE
As night falls on Keller, the trails are sure to become haunted. Participants will walk down the haunted trail of the Bear Creek Park Greenbelt starting at the south end of the parking lot of The Keller Pointe and heading east. Groups will be brought back to the parking area on hayrides. (Caution: Haunted Trails can be too scary for some children). Call 817-743-4050 to inquire about volunteering. Join in the holiday spirit and trim your yard, house, or business with lights and holiday décor. This year’s theme is “12 Days of Christmas”. Entries may be in the House, Street, Subdivision, or Business categories. All entries must be residents within the Keller city limits, and must be received by the Parks and Recreation Department by Dec. 2, 2011. Judging will take place on December 5. Registration Information Class Locations The location for all classes, activities, programs, and events are at The Keller Pointe unless otherwise noted. Where to register Participants may register for all classes, activities, programs, and events online or at The Keller Pointe during operational hours. Registration Deadline Participants are encouraged to register for classes as early as possible. Registration deadline is Friday before class begins (unless otherwise noted). Go online to www.thekellerpointe.com to register. Makeup Policy If it is necessary to cancel a class because of inclement weather, The Keller Pointe Customer Service staff will notify all participants at least one hour before class is scheduled to begin when possible. You may call The Keller Pointe at 817.743.4FUN. If a swim lesson is cancelled, The Keller Pointe aquatic staff will contact you within 24 hours to reschedule. Any group class missed will not be made up. Class Refund or Transfer Policy When a class is cancelled due to low enrollment or other circumstances, you will be offered a transfer to another class or receive a full refund. Participant initiated refunds and transfers will only be granted when a participant: a) submits a transfer or refund request at least 5 business days prior to the starting date of the course; b) moves from the area and notifies The Keller Pointe at least 5 business days prior to the course start date; or c) becomes ill, in which case a doctor’s statement must be presented upon request. If a refund/transfer is not requested to be applied to Keller Pointe merchandise or program within 90 days, the refund/transfer will be forfeited.
Gift Cards The Pointe Gift Cards may be purchased for any amount, and may be used toward program registration, membership, concessions, personal training, guest admissions, rentals and Pointe merchandise. Gift Cards are available at the Service Desk. Inclement Weather Policy Lightning poses a serious risk of injury in our aquatic facilities, including the indoor facilities. Due to the seriousness of this issue, the following inclement weather policy applies for all aquatic facilities: When lightning occurs, the pools will be closed. If the lightning and inclement weather continues for more than thirty minutes, the pools will remain closed and The Keller Pointe staff will attempt to reopen the pools later in the day. This policy is in effect until one hour prior to the facility’s official closing time. Aquatic Training Please be advised that The Keller Pointe lifeguards take part in active training during operating hours. In the event that there is a training exercise, the aquatic staff will notify all patrons.

A non-refundable user fee of $25.00 is required for all pavilion rentals. (Note: The pavilion in The Parks at Town Center is only available from two weeks following Labor Day through two weeks prior to Memorial Day.) Keller Multi-Use Arena The 120’ x 350’ outdoor multi-use arena is available for practice and event rentals. A non-refundable rental fee of $15.00/three hours is required for all practice reservations. A non-refundable rental fee of $200.00 per day, or $100.00 for less than six hour events, is required for all arena event rentals. An additional $100.00 per day security deposit is also required for all arena event rentals. Lights and tractor fees are additional.
